    • Most likely one hour labor.  Best to call the dealer's service department and ask them.
    • Was wondering if anyone has enabled the high idle feature in their ecm lately. I know you have to take it to a dealer or find someone with a smarty to get it done. Mainly wondering what a dealer might charge. Thinking I'd like to get this done at some point but a little afraid of what a dealer may charge me.   I've been on and off if work lately due to a torn meniscus in my right knee so kinda pinching pennies at the moment.
    • Jon is outstanding at what he does.  I had the privilege of meeting and becoming personal friends with Tony Garcin.  Founder and owner at the time of Dunrite.  He has since passed and I lost a great friend. I actually built valve bodies for him.  Learned many things that summer.  We were going to do my tranny together but cancer got him first.  When I needed to have mine done was about the time I took notice of Jon on the forums.  We had some e-mail and personal call or two and what I heard from him (Thanks Tony!) said he was my guy.  I had him do my '01 which a short time after got totaled.  I was going to swap trannies into my '02 but my  knee injury from '84 finally took the joint out.  That was out so back to Jon.  During our conversations it was like chatting with Tony all over again.  So twice I had the privilege of watching him work.  And for me we became personal friends also which if you ever meet him you will know that is a huge plus.  Great  guy and great tranny guy!!! Any of you reading today happy Thanksgiving to all!!
    • Thanks Mike.  I started a thread in the Reliability/ Performance section and added some details about how I use the rig as well as how it’s currently set up.   I’ve already purchased some of the items you mentioned (FASS 165, 4" exhaust, BHAF, gauges), but haven’t installed them yet.   A couple of online vendors suggested an ATS Aurora 3000 turbo, or a Fleece Cheetah turbo and 50 or 75hp injectors along with the Smarty S-03.  Not sure these would get me to the mid-400 hp range though, and given that there are a dizzying array of turbo and injector possibilities, I wanted to get a second opinion from you all.
    • Some frosty mornings l will run mine for 3 to 5 minutes and others not. I have often wondered how many hours of idling my truck has on it. When its my office in winter and summer it sits and idles several hours a day. Its not unusual for me to see 400 to 450 miles on a tank full of fuel during hot and cold weather.
