  1. I ran a "capped" rail for about 50,000 miles. Not one problem. I'm not running anywhere near max RP though. If you're running near max RP, with a capped rail; the possibility exists of blowing out injectors. Especially in and then out of the throttle where there is microseconds of RP that is off the scale and very damaging.
  2. NO horses allowed to compete (unfair advantage). All horsemen know that after a horse has been bathed, brushed, trucked for miles & saddled up, he'll immediately throw a shoe! A shoe may be no more than 7 1/4" wide and 7 5/8" long, and weigh no more than 2 lb 10 oz without the horse! Ringers score 3 points, leaners and others within 6" of stake count 1 point. Double score from shoes thrown from horseback. The pitching stakes are to be 14" high and 40 feet apart, and are not to be confused with Belmont Stakes or Sirloin Steaks. Shoes thrown with the horse attached will not count, however no one will mess with the person so doing! Russ's Horse Camp Throwing Rules

I would expect 'this' to be a better use of machining.. At least more 'bang' for the buck (time)..that, along with knife-edging the "taint".. or divider ;), depending on how well it matches the manifold..
  4. I have been running a FASS 95 Without the stock filter and fuel heater for years and can tell you that the cold fuel didn't improve my mileage at all and I live in Alaska. The IAT fooler did improve the mileage. I've been working on a fuel heater design using engine coolant but don't have it worked out all the way. Lately I've been thinking of trying to use the factory filter top that has the heater element in it and machining a dummy bottom to just use the heating element to see if that helps the mileage by heating the fuel. Now if I can find a chunk of aluminum big enough to fit I will turn it in my lathe.Jim
  5. It sounds like your system is still a slight amount low. Far as the air temp going up when stopped, that is because there is no air flow over the condenser and the amount of liquid refrigerant is decreasing. Another normal thing to have happen. Electric fans will sure help that situation.
