  1. Support the NRA. Support your local Sheriff. Take precautions to protect yourself, as police aren't there to defend you, but to arrest criminals. They try, but they can't be everywhere. Educate folks kindly, conservatives won't win over all liberals, but anger isn't going to help. Tell a story. Facts need a story to carry them and give them a shape. Hate and anger will get us nowhere. God chooses the leaders we deserve. There are a lot of great Americans out there. I'm going to keep doing what I can, and urge you all to do the same.
  2. Christ's second coming is near. Lots of grief ahead. Better hunker down and get good with God.
  3. I have had a lot of tragic boating accidents. All are gone. I would love to as well. I have been casting bullets for my 45-70... and plan on doing some shooting with it over Christmas! I love guns with history! I bet you would love Elmer Keith. His autobiography is one of my favorite reads. Springfield Trapdoors, old lever guns, all the way up to the modern day with Garands, Krags, 1903 Springfields, M-16A1s, etc. I don't like planning on losing! I think an AR or more likely a Swiss K-91 or mosin-nagant would suit your needs pretty well. Although an old Winchester model 94 in 30-30 wouldn't be bad either and would match the hat.
  4. My guns were all stolen a few years ago I will absolutely pass the Winchester down, but in the meantime I am going to use it
  5. I was just going to bring up Oregon chain laws. If chains are required and you are towing you are required to chain the trailer. I have driven MANY MANY roads in the winter (with and without a trailer) where chain are required but the roads are not bad enough to wait a day or two, or more. Luckily in a 4wd vehicle with all season/traction tires you are not required to chain up in Idaho/Washington. In Oregon you don't have to unless you are towing, as mentioned. DOT's will make, and keep, the interstates at chains required when it's not needed for most. Over thanksgiving we passed thru the Blue's on I-84 just a couple hours after the chains required was removed. We never locked the hubs and never got below 50 mph, except going down Cabbage. What the DOT mandates and what is required are often not lined up. I carry 3 pairs of chains in my truck all winter, 2 pair of V-Bar and 1 pair of standard links, but have never had to use them on a paved roadway. I carry one pair of chains year round in the truck as they work great in mud too. I also have a set of drag chains for the TT that lives in the TT or truck year round. Chain are cheap, buy a set even if you plan on never using them. In some cases it may be cheaper to have chains that to get a ticket for not chaining.
  6. I happen to be wondering the web a bit and stumbled across Timbo's page and he's added new videos on calibration and adjustment of the Timbo's APPS sensor. http://www.dodgecumminsapps.com/Calibration_video.html
  7. Nice rifle! I just bought 10 lb of black powder for my 45-70 trapdoor. We should do a cowboy shoot. I am (hopefully ) a member of the Ben Lomond gun club. They have a great cowboy gong range out to 400+.
  8. Good article... http://allnewspipeline.com/Police_Chief_Revolution_Wolf_On_Its_Way.php
  9. So I put a new set of Cooper Discover at3 tires on about 3,000 miles ago. I looked at them today and the fronts are still new at 16/32nds but the rears are already worn to 13/32nds maybe a little less. -I'm not out doing burnouts or even launching starts. -Little to no hauling or towing with these tires. -Pretty much all highway miles with maybe 20 miles of dirt road. -60psi It should be noted that my last set of tires (Firestone Transforce AT) wore quickly also, about 20k and they were down to 4/32nds. I just chalked it up as junk tires. So what gives, I know they're softer tires but at this rate I'll be lucky to make it through the winter. One theory I have is maybe my rear limited slip isn't releasing and dragging the inside tire through corners? The only reason I say this is a while back something in the back made a binding/clanking noise through tight corners while I was towing. It sure sounded like an LS issue. Couldn't replicate the noise the next day and every thing looked good when I pulled the cover. Any thoughts are appreciated cause tires ain't cheap!
  10. Another post MoparMom want me to post up for you all... http://www.newswithviews.com/Daubenmire/dave447.htm
  11. I through a set of these on this summer when they were discounted. http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/findTireDetail.do?ra=filterTireProducts.do&fl=&pc=27009&counter=0&ar=75&rd=16&cs=265
  12. Oh your playing with fire now... Nothing like a woman scorned...
  13. That's why I carry and am a NRA member ,It's, the only way we can protect our right to keep and bear arms. We don't need a CCW in AZ. any more, but I had one until a couple of years ago.
  14. Like most bad guys don't like messing with good guys with guns...
  15. The only thing that will stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun
  16. Absolutely. They keep poking at the idea of coming to get guns. I would have that Henry locked up in a safe out of sight. Personally I hope people stand up for their rights and never give up their weapons or theirs lives. I will say its time to make a stand for our rights and take back some of them from the Gov't.
  17. 65k is the most I ever got on the Michelin's. I ran 2 sets of them with the same results. I too have seen a lot folks stating high miles on them. A lot higher than I was seeing. Those same tires are about $250 a piece right now and I just dont like paying for them. The ATP's are running about $200 a piece. i tired of having to take out a small business loan just to buy tires.
  18. Larger tires generally need less air per pound of weight than smaller ones, and 60 psi is a lot of air for a 285 and no load. The initial soft feel was probably the rubber being new and not the lower pressure. When empty I would be surpirsed if you require more than 40-45 in the rear tires.
  19. Somethings wrong when I get so easily excited about a Henry. Beautiful.... Your lucky to have that. Mine is the 22 mag Golden Boy.
  20. What choice do we have? We have to choose the lesser of evils...at least this go around the GOP candidates are publicly displaying conservative values. Like you said, whether or not they keep their word. The only thing an independent will do is draw conservative votes and elect a liberal. The Fed is too big for anyone to break the mold. Our country would have to go through a revolution before a truly worthy candidate made it to office. We are so built on government programs that this country will never fully change without something drastic
  21. Problem I have is most all politicians are crooks. They can all sell you a big bag of BS and even provide the bag for you take it home. They all sound great till they get into office then turn there back on the American public and do what makes them feel good. Look at Obama, Clinton, Bush, etc. Heck I keep seeing how Obama needs to take a few million dollar vacations because his job is rough. Heck he's not even doing his job. Now if we had a independent that could stand on his own two feet and not bow down to the New World Order group I would take notice.
  22. This is a great forum!
  23. As long as the pressure isn't below 10 PSI for any length of time I don't think you'll have much problems. Between 14-20 PSI you should see optimal return flow. This insures good cooling and lubing of the pump. So if it does drop just a pound or two not a huge issue.
  24. First responders are still dying along with anyone in the vicinity of the twin towers when they came down from the toxic dust they created. Again as the story pointed out that was one event that the gov has tried most successfully to sweep under the rug as the narratives imploded on themselves time and again. So not only did the destruction of the buildings and planes kill a lot but the collateral damage is still being tallied in loss of lives from first responders.
  25. Just remember that Michael & I are first responders. This is a horrible scene to wrap your mind around, but it could take place. Think about this!!!!!
  26. I loved Rand's father, but I haven't heard much from him. I need to spend some time looking into him.
  27. Rand still has the best overall disposition in my mind. Ben has it down on domestic issues but his stance on world issues he is just another hack that wants to continue all the ongoing wars with the world, he would fall into bed with the neocon war mongers the second he was sworn in I am afraid from all that I have heard from him in debates and speeches.
  28. I %100 agree with you. I typically wear a white shirt and jeans. I wear a carhart from nov-march when it is somewhat cold, but honestly I hated having to wear a big enough jacket to cover the gun to obey the CCW laws. I am watching some recent stuff from Ben Carson and I am hoping and pray that he is nominated. He is so level headed and solid in his belief, Sadly, people don't listen.
  29. While the alternator is most likely your problem it never hurts to test the old one or at least unplug the fuse and see if the problem goes away. Hate to see you spend the money and find out it is something else.
  30. I'm going to be a bit more strict about my open carry. I'm going to be making sure I wear it at all time when I leave home. I might have to start using my shoulder holster a bit more too.
  31. I'll take care of 'em with my octagon barrel Henry. Love that rifle.
  32. That reminded me that I needed to buy a spring for my pistol. Thinking about maybe doing ccw again.
  33. Threads like this make me happy I stopped where I did. Lot less of...
  34. Drilling the divider across from the wastegate hole works well, drilling in that location helps retain some of the advantages of the twin scroll, while still gating both volutes.
