Terminology question
1 pointQuadzilla does not have code reading abilities. It can monitor certain functions, refreshing about 4 times per second, and the data log feature will hold about 4 hours worth of data.1 point

2001 Dodge Ram 2500 BUCKING ISSUE
Mine went from .035 to .010. This was measured across the batteries and at the alternator output.1 point

how about conditions? Is it regardless of throttle input? does more or less input change the result? Please give us as much info as possible so we understand what systems are involved.1 point

New NV4500 Probelms
1 pointI can guarantee that Standard isnt going to let this be their fault unless its absolutely the fault of their product. Which means you shipping it to them (costly) and them confirming that something was wrong which was not a result of either an incorrect installation or a faulty clutch. The same will apply to Valair... So unfortunately you're going to need to do some diagnosing before making rash decisions and thinking someone else will pick up the tab. Thats not me trying to be a jerk either but doing what I can to give you a proper heads up. I would get on the phone with both of them and be VERY specific as to what they would need to know to suggest it could be the fault of either product. It likely that Valair will want you to confirm the clutch fork throw distance and a process of determining if the pilot or throwout is dragging. I understand both companies can be helpful but since you had a third party shop install everything, things only got more convoluted because there's things the shop could have done incorrectly too. Sucks for sure but making friends with these three places is going to be helpful because you need all three to help you figure out whats going on. That is unless you have some really good buddies who have tools and knowledge and are OK with working for beer.1 point

Ground Reference VP44,ECM,PCM,PDC plus TC lock/unlock
I didn't mean for this thread to get side tracked... just want you all to know the importance of keeping the A/C ripple to low levels. I dropped the bolt cause MoparMan is like lightening changing a Vp… I thought I was out of his way, but I can't move the speed of light. 186,000 miles per second. GSP7, keep talking, I might just do it with some help my first time like Dripley. I'm afraid of loosing the half moon key when removing and replacing is all. If I did get it I will still go out to visit Mopar since I like to travel and hit the road. A mile down the road from Mopar is a resort on the river. So I can be fishing while Mike works on my truck.1 point

I'll tell you why he's gun shy to changing the VP44. Last time I did the VP44 in his other truck was was quick to ask, "Where does this bolt go?" - CLANK! and it disappeared. After hunting for about 15-30 minutes we found it in the bottom of the intercooler. I've got no problem doing the VP44 @JAG1 knows my average speed is half of the labor book. Not to mention the A/C problem he's been nagging me about for months since last summer if I don't do it JAG1 will be beating with the stick next. You always welcome for a wrench party here. It's always the old and slow ones that know what they're doing. (Sign of great wisdom).1 point

That does suck, but I understand the resting from work part, it his bit me a couple times. The job is not that difficult. An spare set of hands is helpful the first time but did it by myself the second time. My VP has 227k on it and I am awaiting my turn. All of that with 2 stroke and good fuel pressure and one lift pump failure. But I am hoping to get at least 245k for bragging rights with the man who got 243k.1 point

Quadzilla V2 Custom Tunes
1 pointset it to 3500 and do a WOT pull with the gear locked. The trans is going to try and shift in that 3300 area unless you hold gears. holding gears to long is %100 related to TV level pull. You are using more tps input ot move down the road thus higher shift points. Try this. create a new tune, set canbus to %150 from 0-30 psi. I am betting it shifts like you want. the trans is %100 controlled by the tv cable and the pcm. the tuning only has an indirect effect on it.1 point

1 pointIf your rpm limit is set for a rpm you will get fuel to that point. I setting to 3700 and doing a wot pull you should see in the datalogging %100 duration until 3500 then canbus fall off, wiretap won't give up until 3700. If your settings are a rpm limit of 3500+ rpm and you are only turning 3200 I want to see some datalogs.1 point

Ground Reference VP44,ECM,PCM,PDC plus TC lock/unlock
Drove home yesterday and got stranded with a 1688 error code. I even knew that my AC noise level was too high, but kept putting it off. MoparMan suspects that's what killed the communication between the ECM and the injection pump (1688) since I religiously use 2 stroke oil and keep fuel pressure above 14. Can't say for sure, but I might not be buying a new rebuilt VP44 if I took the time to do this important electrical upgrade. What makes even it worse is new diode bridge that sat on my work bench for months while I rested weekends from work. All I got to say is don't be lazy and take care of your truck.0 points
