As a side note: Weight equalization hitches also assist on better braking -- even pressure maintained on axles & tires (contols trailer nose dive and tow vehicle nose lift). Joe2 points

INSTALLING PROTECTIVE LIFT PUMP RELAY The life pump is powered through the ECM via pin #15 and #35. Every time the lift pump is energized the power drawn through the ECM causes heat. After a few thousands cycles of start/stops this heating up and cooling down cause’s degradation in the solder joints and failure. Another possible cause of ECM failure is higher than normal amperage load by either a larger capacity lift pump or a failing pump. As a lift pump starts to go bad (wear internally) the AMP load is increased to overcome the resistance. This added power draw can cause the ECM1 point

Did a quick pass with the buffer and some fine swirl remover. Passenger doors, rocker, and cab side turned out ok, passenger side all pretty much matches now, at least enough my relatively low standards. The hood needs some more work. Lots of sanding scratches left but it's starting to shine up. Need the truck for tomorrow so it will have to wait.1 point

Never mind fooling with the unknown and make up your own wire harness; that will take the guess work out of what color wire goes to what. The article below may help you make a harness. @dripleyI've been in JAG1's driveway for the past 10 days redoing the roof on my 5er with him while I redid his heater core and AC evaporator in his work truck. He has wifi but where I'm located on the driveway it is really slow.1 point

I have tried to find a wiring diagram somewhere for that harness. I even dug for the one I had but came up empty. The only things I can recognize in pictures is this. The fused wire is for 12v power and there should be a ground for that. The orange wire with maybe a white tracer I believe should go the fuel basket for the fuel level sender. The gray connector should go to the oe pigtail for the block mounted pump. What I cant see is the other 2 wires and connector that should go to the fuel basket, Orange wire included. Boggles my mind why a wiring diagram is so hard to find on something that1 point

I'm not sure a draw straw is necessarily a Airdog part, I ordered mine at the same time as my assassin mechanical pump, I even wonder if the instructions are AD. As I said earlier I'm a heavy plant mechanic and I'm much happier the Dodge stuff is gone from the basket, simple tube down to the bottom of the tank, no sock no filter nothing, filters are added further up the frame where they can be got to without dropping the tank or moving the bed. If one was to look over a 2nd gen truck please tell me which part or parts you think Dodge got right, yes the shape is good but rust is a k1 point

Yhea I hear you, but still better than having a huge monthly payment. I can see if my truck made me money daily then I'd probably get a new one and trade every so often, but I only use it when I need it and it's more of a hobby to keep me sain in this life. So I guess I'll keep working on it for now and may be some day my kid will figure out that it's something to have and keep it a live. Then again if things keep in same direction, not sure if I'll be around or trucks will be legal, guess we wait and see. All I know is I'm not taking no force anything, live free or die is my way, hope it's sa1 point
