Haven't done this myself but everything I read just says

a) Disconnect motor mounts with support jack 

b) Tilt engine from front 

c) Gives you enough clearance to unbolt pan .... and remove oil drop feed tube ....

d) reinstall

Cutting that structural part of the truck is a bad idea.  Structurally and philosophically, that is really a bad idea.  I don't even... Wow.

I would never cut a frame structure like that. I bet money that truck has frame issues later in life.

Ladder frames aren't bolted together for a reason. You would imagine that vibration and frame flex from normal operation will eventually erode the holes he drilled for the bolts. I see he went with good sized bolts but unless he significantly reinforced the holes and used bushings in the frame member to prevent crushing, that frame member is gonna move and create stresses in other parts of the frame. Depending on how long that truck is operational, I'll bet he starts seeing cracks after a while.

That's a prime example of why you crawl around under a used truck before buying it lol.
