OEM alloy 8 x 16" wheels ......

Recommended Posts

Do like the OEM alloy wheels .... but, one of mine has a small hairline crack on the inboard rim area.  Small, it loses 3-4 lbs. pressure per month.

The specs for these alloy OEM's don't list the weight. Maybe this shouldn't be a factor since I'm running 285's ..... but, curiosity killed the cat.

Anyone know the weight of a bare OEM alloy 8 x 16" .... ?

Want to replace these rims with 'classic' style/type alloys .....

If you are really hard set on the alloy wheels or any aftermarket wheels make sure to get the right offset and width for your truck. My OEM alloy wheel failed the same way 3 wheels had multiple cracks in them which any crack is unsafe. This why I never opted fo factory alloy wheel again all them have the same issue with cracking. Then when I went to aftermarket I got the wrong offset and ended up with road slingers that slung all the mud and road salt on the side windows which made it unsafe t odrive on the interstate in a mere 10-20 miles you had to get off the highway to clean the side windows to even see. So I went back to the factory steel/chrome 16x7 proper offset and fit my 235's at the time perfect. Near future will be 245's.

Have looked for the specifications of the OEM alloy 16 x 8 ..... ?

Not much luck.

The Pacer 162M-6882 alloy wheel:  These wheels are also marketed as 'Ultra Wheel Company' and 'American Racing wheels' .... ?

8 stud on 6.5"  /  165.1mm

Hub bore:  130.18mm

Offset:  -06mm

Backspacing:  4.22in.

Am looking for exact - very close specifications to the OEM alloys ....

Sure like the way the manufacturers mix metric and standard measurements .....

Your input is much appreciated ..... thank you!

i run the American Racing Outlaw II's in a 16"x8". they are a zero offset with stock sized 265 tires. they do sling a little bit of mud and stuff on the truck but not bad. Ill post up a picture in a few.

If you have a specific question, let me know.

I just went to look at the invoice from when i bought those wheels to give you more information on the set-up, but apparently Tire Rack doesn't sell that wheel in that size or bolt spacing anymore. Paid $440 in sept. of 2015 for just the wheels. I was hoping to find the shipping weight since i bought them as a wheel/tire combo mounted and balanced, but it is not on the invoice that i have.
