My skinny cabinet

I was thing about @JAG1 on this one since he is a fellow wood butcher. We put new cabinets in the kitchen a good while back and had 6" space needed filling. The spice rack the manufacturer offered back then was about $600. I said no way and built my own. So here it is.20181225_183950.jpg.795a19ec0fdd3811bc6222720a42e85a.jpg20190101_181355.jpg.57fd65e8e834abc0aad9d29e9a3dd567.jpg20181225_214053.jpg.c4b1c8c4132cead52cfb0c9d2337e221.jpg20190101_181444.jpg.5ef667d56a6c1106b63532a8eed36f1a.jpg20190105_172151.jpg.b423a82a26e217127acbd55047a62268.jpg

I hate the drawer pull but wife would not let me put a door pull on it. All in all it still turned out nice and I only have $75 in it.

Good job Dave. Very diligent. You could tile that since near the stove for heat. Doing both sides for 'hot plate' style tile works well near the stove. I say this also because you got good tile work there. Them chicken claws just the right spacing.

I like it and that handle works for me.  As for hot tile, I have the same stove but in white and no problem with the heat effecting the cabinets on either side.

Mine is the same. You can touch it any where except the cook top when it is on. I can turn the oven up to 500 degrees and still place my hands on the sides of it.

When pushed it back in I smelled gas and it was late, so i just turned the gas off for the night. The next morning I pulled it out and checked the connections for leaks and found none. When i was pushed it back in I started smelling gas again. While bent over the stove I plugged it in and imediately heard the ignighter clicking. I looked down just in time to see the 4 burner ignite whilst I was leaning over it. Turned out I was rubbing and turning the knobs and that was the gas I was smelling. I have one very lint free shirt now.

I have the same problem with the knobs moving to on by just brushing against them.  Several times I've smelled gas in the kitchen and found a knob slightly turned on.
