24v Adrenaline discuss

Recommended Posts

I notice reading through the forum that the Adrenaline seems to be top dog again, I bought one when they first came out for my now gone 99 2500, had a few problems like the fuel sensor just blasted out when I was driving and then they got recalled, then I had other programming problems and then the word was they where going out of business. I wasted the Auto in the truck so it did pull well and had good top end. So then I bought  a Smarty (for timing) and added a TST 3 for my fueling on my current truck and it works well but it is 2 different units and I have not really paid attention for a few years and like I said I see the Adrenaline is real popular again just curios is it the same company with improvements? Is it really that good to where I would notice it for the money?

What are you trying to gain would be my first question?

DAP bought Quadzilla.

The tuning has been rebuilt from the ground up to allow for much greater user control.     Which leads us to the " is it really that good?"

That depends on what you are looking to gain.  I DD'd 7 x .0120 injectors with a he351ve turbo using the fueling control.  it passed emissions with a lower opacity output than the smarty on 1/2 mode, but it also put down WAY more power.

Do you want direct control over fueling and timing?  If yes, then the quadzilla is good.

Diesel Auto Power (Jacob Kidd) bought the Quadzilla Power Company.

The abilities of timing and fuel management. Compared to Smarty or TST you have a much better range of timing and fuel control to the point that most of us have smoke free tunes that make serious power.

I too got my quad when they first come out and experienced similar issues. Many times I thought about selling it and getting an edge. As time went by I played with Tunes and got to a happy enough spot to get by. As soon as v2 tuning  came out thanks to @Me78569 contribution of programming, it instantly became a game changer on vp44 trucks. If you got a basic knowledge of computers and software you should be able to upgrade your old module to new V2 tuning yourself. I'm not that bright but somehow I did it.
