1999 dodge ram 2500 : odd...

Recommended Posts

my work just had got a traded in a 1999 dodge ram 2500 but owner had installed the 3500 heavy duty logos from third generation ram... BUT problem is the owner said that transmission is only work in reverse... I was supposed to do that because I has worked on those before but somehow I was back up of works so the dispatcher gave to the wannable technician to do used car inspection... I told him to look at shifter. he said the shifter was act like out of the position... I told him to pulled the shifter assembly out. there is problem is the transmission are NV4500. AND it is brand new.... new clutch, pressure plate but too stiff!!! I did got the shifter back in the position and get it in neutral BUT it did not work. I was plan to work on it when I am done with all other works BUT my dealership decided to wholesale it since wannable technician said there is more problems around.. it has 303K miles. it is running pretty good but just very stiffer clutch pedal... I knew what is problem but they decided to not pay more to make shifter work again...

yeah I can find out what is problem but my work's general manager decided to just send it to car auction to sell it out because he don't want pay too much if it would not get fix... it is his call not mine.... the problem is my dispatcher can just give a simple issue to idiot technician who had ZERO experience except just promoted from lube tech to general line technician....
