Transmission Advice

Recommended Posts

Mopartech is right. Just chalk the wheels, Set the park brake, and hold the brakes with all you got, then put her in gear and rev it up. Whatever rpm the engine reaches and you cant get it to rev any higher is the stall speed. This is also a very good test to do to figure out the condition of the tranny. If I ever look at buying an automatic transmission vehicle, I do this test. You can tell real quick if something is slipping in the drivetrain.
