I am suspicious that I might have a fuel bleed down between lift pump & engine. I've noticed oily spot on the ground where truck was parked this winter. I'm not able to get under the truck myself anymore... as per my signature have AD 150 & big rubber lines. -
I’ve searched quite a bit for info on this subject. But it always seems to pertain to trucks with after market lift pumps. My truck still has the stock lift pump. Are these hard starts still a VP issue? Truck runs just fine. For now I’ve installed a toggle switch off the ground wire of the stock pump. As long as the pump isn’t running starts right up I’ve yet to install a fuel pressure gauge which I know is a must. Was also looking for suggestions on a good one and wear to hook it up -
So 2 days ago, I disconnected my grid heaters after testing ac noise. Which was .034 after using them all winter. Now the wait to start comes on like normal, I turn truck over it's barely stars and then dies.so I turn it over again, get it to idle, and its puffying out white and blue smoke like a train from exhaust. Temperature was 36 at 7am when I started it. I disconnected grid heaters at battery like it was suggested so as to not throw codes. I feel like I should just reconnect the grids back up, i haven't replaced a alternator yet since i have had the truck for 6years. When i use them truck fires up first crank with just a haze of blue till it warms up. -
Well after doing the new trubo swap .. and the 50 hp DDP injectors I have had a hard start issue . Replaced all the o ring on the injectors twice .. new injector tubes twice .. o rings on them twice . Tightened all connections , replaced the line from the filter to the VP with a big line kit . ... still air is getting back in and draining back . If the truck sits for more than 2 hrs it takes 3 cranks to start . Before it never did this with the OEM stuff . I am at my wits end . yes I searched , yes I did the baby powder , yes I parked it up hill and down hill ... If this cant be fixed I am lost . Banjo on the back of the head tight , t fitting tight . Battery's are good , VP is new , raptor 150 is new . Fuel PSI is 19 idle 17 driving 16 wot . Key on pump primes for 2 sec gauge reads 19 psi ... crank no start until i crank 3 times . Once started it will fire all the time , just wont after it has been sitting . -
My son has a 95 Honda Accord, not sure of engine, but it has an auto tranny. He has been having trouble with starting lately. Some times when he tries to start it, it just turns over but does not start. He has found if he puts it in neutral, pushes it 2 or 3 feet it will start right up. Is there some kind of safety switch he might be tripping by doing that? If I am not mistaken autos have a safety so they wont start in any thing other than park or neutral.

Just bought a 95 12v 5 speed with 278k miles, I've done general maint. to it, cut the factory exhaust off so could breath, put a K&N air filter on. I have noticed on this truck that it spins over more before it will crank than my 02 24v does. I would like a little info on that, and also what I can do safely to give it a little more power, since it has high mileage. Thanks for any info..

hi having trouble with hard start when warm, long extended crank will usually start, aways starts right up on cold start, some times will crank 30 seconds when warm any help app., also has codes 1693 cant seem to get other codes, key truick does not work on 98.5, i have snapon brick, and otc scan tool. has fuel pressure gauge, lift pump seems to working ok, thanks dale, also would like to add that injection pump was replaced with cardone reman pump, about 6 months ago, but only has about 2000 miles on it,
