I have a 2001 Dodge 2500 5.9l that is stock other than a Predator mechanical fuel pump that I have recently put on. I have had the issue even before I've done any work to the truck of there being brief second of no power and then returning like nothing happened. I will be driving normal (Smooth accelerations) and every once in a while the truck will loose power and go back to normal in a matter of a second. I've always thought it was a problem with the stock lift pump on the side of the motor so i recently replaced it with a predator lift pump and haven't seen it run below 14psi. But even after I did so it still does this intermittent loss of power issue. It can vary from every other ride to weeks between cycles. I have no codes or lights on the dash and am starting to think it might be the VP disagreeing with me and wanting to quit. I have no tunes or anything going on with it and I tried resetting the APPS and nothing has changed it. Only other thing I could think of is air or suds making its way to the Injection pump every so often. Anyone have any thoughts? -
So I’ve had my quadzilla on for the past 3 weeks I’d say. It’s been great. Really woke up the truck. Today I was on my way back from a 2hr long drive picking up an air dog 150. When I was 5min away from my dorm going roughly 45mph just normal driving/cruising my check engine light came on and the truck went down to 800 (roughly around idle speed) rpms and I had no power. Pulled over to the side and let it idle for a while and then I slowly drove away and it’s been driving fine. Haven’t been able to check the code yet but will run to oriellys tomorrow to get it checked ( wish you could check codes from the iquad but not a big deal). Has anybody else had an issue like this? I’m trying to figure out if it’s quadzilla related or just my trucks issue. All insight in appreciated, thanks in advance!

i have been chasing a problem on my truck for a while now and it has cost me alot of money. i have noticed a difference in my truck for a while now and have replaced just about everything. my truck does not seem to have the same umff it use to have. my throttle does not have that load on it like it use to have. it does not pull hard like it use to. my boost numbers are lower(47 max with wastegate hose plugged). i use to be able to hit 58. its a combination of everything and it is driving me nuts. here is a list of stuff i have replaced: vp44, timbo apps, neighbors whole tps, map sensor, iat sensor, trans sensor, no boost leaks, 3 different injector sets, swapped out different chips(edge, adr., smarty, fms, no chip), new air filter, changed fass filters. dont know what else to do. i honestly hate driving my truck the way the throttle feels. my neighbor has a 99 and i will turn his chip off (he has 150 injectors) and his throttle feels like mine use to. at this point i dont mind the power thing but more of the load on the pedal feeling. infact, it is harder to drive my truck the way the throttle feels flimsy. my truck has only 84k miles. do i drive this thing off a cliff:mad:.
