DTC P0601: PCM INTERNAL CONTROLLER FAILURE

Monitor & Set Conditions

Powertrain Control Module (PCM) internal controller is monitored when ignition is on. DTC may be stored when internal checksum for software failed or does not match calculated value.

Testing

Replace and program PCM. See appropriate REMOVAL, OVERHAUL & INSTALLATION article. PCM is located at passenger's side rear corner of engine compartment.
