You all might of noticed the Garage had left for a bit and now returned. Also you'll noticed that all the entries are gone. Yup I erase the entire database for the garage. I allowed big photo previously and it was eating a hole in the storage on the server. So now all the photos have to be less than 1 MB. This allows for a good 1024x768 photos. I can restrict the dimensions of the picture (1024x1024) and the file size of the photo. (1.0 MB).
I changed up the database of the information captured. I added in more stuff. I wanted to capture shop customers vehicles as well. This always members see the trucks I work on. Also the shop customers can see other members as well. This always me to store information about the vehicles for ordering part. A lot of times I need the VIN number for certain parts. Instead of calling the customer or running out in the yard to write it down again and again just keep the info on the site for easy access.
So all the members here now have to re-enter your truck info again. I'm sorry about that but now I will have a lighter pool of pictures that members can share.
BONUS - There is no upload limit in the garage for your photos. Still the 1 MB file limit and reduced to under 1024 x 1024 but you can upload as many as you want about your truck or mods. Why? Because the message post uploads can't be restricted in the same fashion so pictures are typically pretty fat. So I can only limit the total per post. With the Garage now I can limit both photo size and file size.
Like I said here is the photo limits. I'm also gearing for the fact 78% of the traffic to the website is now mobile device and super huge photos just slow the page down and makes it slower for mobile devices. Hence why the full dump of everything had to be done.
