Hi Jeff,Avondale was able to get the part. However, they did in fact confirm that it is only for 00-02 ram. They were not able to figure out what the part number of the one I need is. All I know is it is between part numbers 82202443 - 82204681. So I guess I am back to splicing. I want to thank you again for trying to help me out.Brandon

Hi Jeff, Thank you for your help. The actual module I have is the EVS II that has provisions for the alarm, however all I want to use it for is the keyless entry feature. I only drive it once in a while and primarily use it around the property, but that feature sure would come in handy. Unfortunately, my truck was not optioned with keyless entry. I still have the build sheet for the truck, and have looked under the column for a module and found nothing. I appreciate you help looking for me. I’ll give Avondale a call today. I’ve actually dealt with them before as well with jeep parts. It seems like there are a lot of dealers listing that part on their sites, but when you call they don’t have it and say it’s obsolete. I guess they don’t have the ability to see if other dodge dealers would happen to have one in stock. I’ll let you know how I make out……….Thanks again Jeff, Brandon

Thanks for the reply Jeff. You are correct. I made a few calls to the dealers today and they all say that what I am looking for has been discontinued. Apparently the 82204681 will work for a 98. The one I currently have is for a 94-96. I have one more call into a place that has a lot of the obsolete parts, and then I give up. Worst case I will have to modify the one I have. I guess gen 2’s aren’t popular anymore.....

Hello, new guy here. I figured this is the best site to ask a specific technical question like this. I own a 98.4 Ram 12V 3500 and recently scored a NOS EVS II keyless entry module PN 82300986 on eBay. These work on a wide range of 90's Chrysler vehicles that were equipped with factory power door locks, but w/o keyless entry. However, to make this work with my 98, I need a specific wiring kit. Along with the module I purchased, a wiring kit PN 82202443 came with it. This will not work with my truck. I believe it's for an earlier model ram. The wiring kit that came with it has an 8-pin blue door connector harness, and my 98 has a 10-pin blue door connector harness.On the internet I see where some say that wiring kit# 82204681 will work. It appears that these however are for the 2000-2002 ram which uses an 11-pin blue door connector harness.Does anyone out there know what the correct wiring kit is for a 98 ram?Thanks for your help,Brandon
