  1. Today I replaced both front rotors, pads, and calipers. I also replaced my passenger side flex break line. Me and a buddy bled the breaks and I still do not have a break pedal. Break light and ABS lights have came on as a result of this. Pedal will get semi hard with the truck off but with the truck in the pedal will go to the floor.
  2. So I hooked the gauges back up it was still at 30psi low side and 200 high side. I revved the truck up to 1700rpms and the low side pressure dropped to 25psi and then the compressor clicked and it went up and hit 40 clicked again and dropped back down to 25psi. I'm confused too much freon or not enough? Also I am confused about using the gauges after I hook the gauges up and take them off the truck there is freon in the high side and low side lines. How do I purge the lines to put that back in the truck? Just open the manifold up like I was adding freon?
  3. Alright guys so I filled the system with about 2.5 12oz cans and checked my pressures they are reading 30psi low side and 200 hi side. It's 80 degrees outside with 56% humidity today here in NC. Sound a little low on 134? Center vent temperature reads 45-40 degrees. My compressor stays locked I only hear it click when I initially turn on the ac after the truck has started.
  4. So I pretty much replaced the entire A/C system and when I put the new compressor in I put around 7..5 ounces of PAG 100 in. My questition is should I have put oil in each new component I put in or just put the proper amount in the compressor and roll on?
  5. Alright guys so this morning I went out and started the truck and gave it a minute and rolled off about 3 minutes gown the road at 30mph the check Guage light came on and I looked at the dash and the volts were all the way down. I turned into a lot and shut the truck off and did a Guage function check the volt Guage worked so I just started the truck and continued my 150 mile trip this morning with no further problems. The volt Guage stayed at about 15 the entire trip. Any ideas?
  6. So in general what would everyone consider is the better fuel for our trucks or does it not matter? I'm taking in general not cold weather related. Regardless I treat my fuel with 2 cycle oil every tank anyhow and to my knowledge it helps prevent fuel from gelling.
  7. Awesome such a peace of mind knowing that bit of information.
  8. Awesome man thanks everything you said makes perfect sense.
  9. Hey guys just curious of everyone's cold morning routines I know everyone's cold morning may mean something different to everyone else. Well I'm in North Carolina and at about 45* out I may start the truck let it idle for about one minute and get rolling.. Is that bad? At what temperature out is it bad to let the truck just idle to warmup? And at what temperature should I let the truck idle for a few more minutes before I roll on to work? I have been really considering the high idle switch but I need the previous questions answered first and also what if you have a programmer such as the quadzilla or EJWA? Will the high idle switch still plug and play and work as it should?
  10. Found it! It was the red ignition wire. Air bag light is on will it eventually go off? I did reconnect the airbag
  11. Thanks will do and report back
  12. Well Michael was a great help installing the new dash and putting everything back together in the HVAC box. Big thanks for that. Got everything installed and buttoned up. So I hooked up the PCM and the batteries and went to go start the truck nothing.. No dash lights or fass running with the ignition in the on position. I did get the door chime with the key in the on position and the under hood light. When I lock the doors they lock but no longer have the horn beep when you lock the doors with the remote. I have no clue what is going on. When I was installing the D/S battery I did make contact with the positive side of the battery to some medal objects causing a spart thus making me check the PDC box fuses but all looks to be well under there. Any ideas?
  13. Hey guys thank's for having me been looking around on this website for a while. That being said I am in serious need of help before I lose my mind. I have a 2001 QCLB with a 6 speed transmission. I needed to replace my dash and bezel so I bought a LMC truck dash and bezel. Il while doing it I figured I would do the heater core and accumulator. I have my dash completely loose and rolled forward but j can't for the life of me move the P/S of the dash far enough out to remove the HVAC box. Am I suppose to remove the center shifter plastic assembly? Im starting to lose hope in this project and any help would be great thanks guys
