  1. I just ordered new Tipm, clutch fan ,and wastegate solenoid. Now I'm gonna pray to the dodge god that it fixes the issues.
  2. When the CAN BUS is awakened it back feeds the ECM with 8.6volts. (The CAN neg and pos show solid 2.5volts. No fluctuation. This is all with key off.) When CAN BUS goes to sleep the 8.6volts that's back feeding ECM fades away slowly to zero.
  3. That's what I was thinking. I was having back feed issues on fuse 6 too. I tracked that down to bad clutch fan and wastegate solenoid. That problem solved. I'm getting 8.6v back fed to fuse 42 (ECM) on the feed wire with fuse 11 plugged in. There is 2.5volts on positive and negative of CAN BUS. When I went out there i heard a hum like the power seat is moving but its by the pedal under the dash. No key on. All fuses in except 42.
  4. No. I'm chasing a gremlin on fuse 11. I'm seeing 8.6volts being back fed on feed wire to the ECM.
  5. Hello. Does anyone know where I can find the voltage ranges for the modules that are ran by fuse 11. Fuse 11 consists of sentry key remote entry, cluster, radio, hands free, satillite receiver, monitor/DVD and electronoc overhead. I have looked everywhere. Thanks!
  6. Its a 2007 Dodge 2500 5.9l cummins
  7. It's junk. Short of me putting in a new clutch and wastegate solenoid I am lost on this. I did one of those ask me mechanic websites and the guy was lost. I broke it all down from A to B for him and it didn't help. That's pretty bad when a girl knows more about trucks! Is there wiring schematics for individual fuses? I'm looking for the diagram for the fuse 11 circuit. And maybe fuse 6 circuit. Trying to find a manual is proving impossible.
  8. Its the great design of the totally integrated power module. They take a couple modules and fuse panel and mush them into a box.
  9. New developments... The circuit for fuse 6 is for the air bags, fan, wastegate and vist(?). With the key not even in the truck the fan is showing 5volts, the wastegate is showing 12.7-13volts. The continuity through the solenoid is 10.2ohms. Would this be a issue with Tipm? Anybody? Anybody?
  10. I have made new developments in this electrical issue. I pulled all the fuses on TIPM and tested the panel as I put them in one at a time. When testing B+ from ECM to fuse 42(one side) I got power coming from ECM to test light when I plugged fuse 6 and 11. Which means a short somewhere but where? I've looked over these wires a million times and re did the grounds til shiny. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  11. I need my alternator tested. Every place I've called says we can do it but I've read on here not all tests are the same. I read from one poster that he had autozone and another one test his and it was fine but ended up at Napa and they said it was cooked. What do they test for that's different? Thanks
  12. Thank you for that diagram. I was just reading about your test for the alternator. I'm going to do that in the morning. I did order a new ECM just in case. Weird thing too is check engine light has never been on once during this.
  13. OK thank you. Yep ECM. It said PCM Engine Management of fuse panel. That's why I was asking to be sure
  14. I got it open but its all surface mount components. No jelly inside. Not much I can do with it tho. Any recommendations on where to go? New? Remaned?
  15. Thanks for that. I was worried that my radio antenna did something to it. Where I park it my wires are 50ft in air above it. Do you know if its surface mounted diodes and resistors inside the ECM? It is opening day so I went hunting instead of pulling it early this morn. I needed to chill for a minue. I'm about ready to pull my hair out over this.
  16. Thanks. I'm hoping its like the ham amplifiers I mess with.
  17. I do believe a diode opened up inside the pcm. I'm gonna open it up and check this morn.
  18. OK. Now a further issue after testing the fuse panel. I pulled fuses one at a time and tested. When I got to pcm engine management socket both sides tested hot. One side tested 11.7v and the other side tested 12.3v. Is this supposed to be like this? Like a dual power for one source? Any ideas would be great. Thanks
  19. All wiring checked out fine.
  20. OK. I'll look thank you.
  21. When I got the 29 for the map the truck was not idling. Is that normal when its off? Also the connector for the map is showing 5v in 2 spots.
  22. I have tried to find the values of resistance for the map and can sensor and can't find anywhere. On my scanner the map is showing 29.6 and fuel rail is bouncing between 20 and 50lbs. This is with the key in the on position not cranked over. Is there supposed to be 5v on signal wire for map and cam sensor?
  23. We have been at this truck for weeks now. I bought it about 3months ago and it just sounded like it needed new injectors. In the last 3weeks we have replaced the injectors 3 times because it keeps sounding the same. Its a constant misfire whether at idle or acceleration. I pulled the codes with my scan tool and its giving codes p0193, p0113, p0237, p0069, p0483. Also it says fuel rail pressure relative to map. We have checked over and tested the wiring harnesses and this is what we have come up (truck in run position) the fan has 5volts, the cam black/blue 35ohms tan/yellow 5.1v grey/black millivolts, map sen shows 5volts on feed wire the ground was within specs but the signal wire had 5.1volts. Is the signal wire supposed to have 5v @ map sensor and is the signal wire to cam sensor supposed to have 5v to? Any ideas I will appreciate. I'm at a loss right now. It is a 07 5.9 Cummins Thanks
