I got the system to around 15 psi and found a leak around the boot at intake side of the inter cooler so I tightened up the clamp. But I still have a leak some where and I can't find it. Anyone got any more suggestions.

I've noticed a boost leak in my '04.5for about a month. It's getting worse and sounds like it is commingle from the passenger side of the truck. But how do I find out where it is coming from?

I was wondering if anyone knows the best available fuel filter to use. I sound like to avoid installing a fass system and just use the stock system. Let me know your opinions or suggestions. I don't think the car quest filters I've been using are cutting it.
  6. These are all very common issues with this model truck. I had to do all of my front end around 115,000 miles. My truck had the death wobble and the whole nine.

Relaced them two weeks ago with ddp 50 horse injectors. It was a little easier than I thought it would be. I actually got by without any special tools.

I don't think that is a very hard job, from what I've gathered. I'll let you know more after I change mine on saturday. If you do find that it is your injectors I would get on the horn and find some fast, it seems like they are very hard to come by, I could not find any stock Bosch 505's. The quickest any parts supplier could get them was 2 months from now. I would also leave the truck parked in the driveway until you figure out the problem, if you drive you risk distroying the motor. Hope this helps

Anyone know why there is such a shortage on bosch 505 injectors. I'm starting to get annoyed with the parts stores in my area.:banghead:
  11. I was wondering if the prv is a possible problem, could you replace the bolt in the banjo fitting with a solid bolt just to see if it helps the rail pressure and possible diagnose the problem. Maybe this is not a good idea:shrug:. let me know your thoughts. On that note I'm glad you were able to borrow a prv and solve the issue.

My 04.5 2500 is very hard starting. It starts when it is plugged in but still cranks over longer than it should. I have checked the relays to the grid heater, and also the amperage from the relays to the grid heater. Most people I talk to about it say that it is probably the injectors but when it's not plugged in and doesn't start there is absolutly no smoke at all coming out of the tail pipe. This makes me think that it is not getting the fuel it needs to start. When it is running it runs good with no hickups or loss of power. If anyone has any ideas I'm open for sugestions before I go and spend 2 grand on injectors.
