  2. Hello everyone,, I am looking for a stock 3rd gen cummins ram truck. I am looking for a 4 door, 4x4, manual. I will be towing a 5th wheel or travel trailer on vacations. I am looking for the best year for the 2500/3500. Any input would be great. Thanks

So I'm in the market for a new truck and my question is that my neighbor runs a 2011 Cummins with around 200k miles BUT he takes very very good care of his truck (it is his office so I don't blame him) and he is willing to sell it too me for a decent price around $23k I also found a 2012 6.7 powerstroke with 60k miles and it's priced at 33k. I'm just not sure which truck is going to be the most reliable. I do tow a large boat for half the year and I have a 25' flatdeck trailer that I don't haul as much any more but still use occasionally. What would you guys go with?
  4. I've specifically been avoiding tow rigs, for that very reason. I saw a 2006 with 533k as a tow rig though. That was impressive.
  5. Hello everyone,, So I've been toying with the idea of getting a 5.9L for a while. My preference is to get something prior to 2003, simply because I like the body style. The tradeoff, however, is most of these trucks are well into the 200k range. One I am looking at in particular has 278xxx on the odometer, with a tranny rebuild at approximately 275k. I know that the Cummins is the "million mile motor," but is it a risky proposition to jump in at almost 300k? Would I be better off saving my pennies for a truck with lower miles? Thanks!!!

    Last year the boss bought two '13 Dodge cab and chassis trucks. I ended up with one of them and the boss has the other. My truck has been trouble free so far, but his has been to the dealership twice so far for def problems. Both times it has been due to the wiring harness being ripped out, https://speedtest.vet/ https://vidmate.bid/ if you see the country we drive in you would understand. Is there any fix to the def problem on a 2013 truck? They are both stock, base models, 4X4, manual trans, even hand crank windows. He will not want to add power, he just wants to not go into limp mode 100 miles from town. Other than stop being so abusive to the truck, any advice. Thank you.
