So 2 days ago, I disconnected my grid heaters after testing ac noise. Which was .034 after using them all winter. Now the wait to start comes on like normal, I turn truck over it's barely stars and then dies.so I turn it over again, get it to idle, and its puffying out white and blue smoke like a train from exhaust. Temperature was 36 at 7am when I started it. I disconnected grid heaters at battery like it was suggested so as to not throw codes. I feel like I should just reconnect the grids back up, i haven't replaced a alternator yet since i have had the truck for 6years. When i use them truck fires up first crank with just a haze of blue till it warms up.

NO TEMP RISE SEEN FROM INTAKE HEATERS Ok got that part now what I did was eliminate the heater (Ca. warm wheather) to get a little more flow, I left the solenoids hooked up and insulated the heater ends in hope of fooling the computer no luck so wondering what you guys do to keep from thrown this code

So far i have check the following: 1.-check the relay it self by manually appling voltage and they work. 2.- confirm that the grownd side of the relay coil is not open 3.- At the connector comming from the ECM there is no voltage when set the ignition switch on Am I looking into a defective ecm?

My truck was running ok for about 160 miles and then it acted like it didnt have any power for a few minutes but then it was ok again. I checked the codes when I got home and I got 234 and 236, Ive had them before, the manual describes them as "problem detected in turbocharger wastegate" I checked the wastegate actuator and you can push the rod to open the wastegate with a screwdriver, it takes a some pressure but it does seem to open, and I hooked air to it and it opened at around 25psi, and it doesnt seem like the acuator is leaking or anything. Should it open at a lower psi? Im also getting a 382 code. The heater works when you plug it in, and the truck doesnt have any problems starting when its cold out, so im not sure whats not working -the code is for the heater relay #2- and im also not sure where the heater relay #2 is, im guessing the one relay in the fuse box under the hood, but I want to make sure cuz that relays about $80, and i hate to sound cheap, but do I really need this relay for the truck to run ok? Thanks in advance

been out hunting this week. i noticed at least twice, when the air temp was in the mid 50s and my truck had been sitting for at least 10hrs(and unplugged), my grid heaters didn't kick on(wait to start, idle, or, low speed driving). someone suggested that there might be a fuse link in the wire from the battery to the relays, but both had voltage thru the wire when i checked it with a DVOM. what should i check next? or am i jumping the gun, and its not cold enough for the ecm to start the grids? ISX does the 12v PCM run the grids? didn't you wire a switch for those?
