Mopar1973Man Economy Tune 2024.11.1
Disclaimer
- This tune has seriously high timing so be sure you have upgraded to head studs and are willing to dive out on a limb with me. This tune can run the full 30 degrees worth of timing. Typically cruise timing at 66 MPH (2,000 RPM) is about 25 to 26 degrees of timing depending on engine load. You have been warned.
- This tune is built around 200℉ thermostat used in a 2012 Ram 6.7L engine. I'm running higher coolant temperatures. The intake temperature is better at around 80 to 140℉ coolant floats 204 to 208℉.
- Make sure the cruise timing is dropping out before 5 PSI of boost. If cruise timing is hanging too long it could blow a head gasket.
This tune has the best all-around daily driver tuning yet so far. It has a steep timing curve but the efficiency is the best so far and there are no ill effects on the engine even with nearly 500k miles on the clock. I've made several short trips around and even with climbing and running in the mountains, the amount of fuel to get to Boise is about 1/8 of a tank which is 180 mile trip one way.
Suggested Requirements
