Mopar1973Man Towing Tune 2024.5.1
Disclaimer
- This tune has seriously high timing so be sure you have upgraded to head studs and are willing to dive out on a limb with me. This tune can run the full 30 degrees worth of timing. You have been warned.
- This tune is built around 200℉ thermostat used in a 2012 Ram 6.7L engine. I'm running higher coolant temperatures. The intake temperature is better at around 80 to 140℉ coolant floats 204 to 208℉.
This tune is a remake of my economy tune and has some of the same requirements. The cruise timing has been removed and no longer even used in this tune being the small amount of time where my engine load is low enough to engage the cruise timing. The retard curve has been deepened and I've got a serious amount of low end torque turbo spool is quicker than the Economy tune. This tune on Beast can fry the tires with my 31 foot Jayco Eagle RV total weight of 17,500 pounds. I've seen it fry the tires in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears. The fuel map has been tweaked slightly for better hand-off from launching to cruise and the power states.
