Hi all,

I ran into a problem when I was trying to change my front driver side brake line on my 99 4wd. I went to Napa and got a brake line, but when I was about to take the old one off I noticed where it mounts to the frame there is another line that comes and t's into the brake line I'm trying to replace. It's kind of hard to visualize so I'll try to take a pic. The brake line I bought to replace the bad one didn't have a fitting for the other line.

Should I but the line from the dealer? I can't seem to find any parts stores that have what I'm looking for.

Thanks

Do you mean the rubber line? It should be available from just about anywhere.

Yea, the rubber one. Here is a pic of what I'm talking about.

The line I bought had nothing for the fitting coming from left.

Hello

The new line you bought is for the passenger side of the truck.

I just replaced both of mine and didn't inderstand the price difference untill I opened the boxes and started the installation.

I bought both lines. The passenger one was correct, but the driver side was exactly the same as the line I'm replacing, but didn't have a threaded hole in the side for the other fitting, it was flush.

I bought those lines from NAPA last year.

Did your driver side have the fitting? Do you possibly remember a part # if so?
