  1. Are there any long term effects of using Bio fuel in my 99 24 valve?
  2. Can I assume you're running your Quadzilla in the custom tune mode? Is this something a non advance tuner could figure out? So in level 4 without timing on my Smarty, edge in the middle position , I'm getting 19 mpg with the cruise set at 65. Which truck are you getting 28 mpg?
  3. That's great advice, I appreciate you taking the time to share!!
  4. Thanks to all that responded to my question! So I'm going to check and make sure all the codes are clear and drive the 50 miles or so. I bought the Edge some 20 years ago as it was legal to ship to California, I was new to the Cummins world, the blog I was following at the time had good reviews and is Carb legal , so can remain during the test. The Quadzilla is not. I was able to get a friend to buy a Smarty for me from out of state for $500. I didn't see the need to spend the extra $300 for the Quadrille at the time. I run the Smarty without adding any timing . It seems to do what I need, but like anything performance related, I always find something better after I have spent the $$$. Not sure I'm ready to spend another $800. right now.....
  5. On my 99 3500, I have a smog check due. I have a Smarty which I just put back to the stock mode. How long or how many mile are required before the history is removed. Is there a way I can check it before I take it to get it smoged? I have a normal reader and the Smarty. Thanks
  6. Installed the new valve, worked as advertised ! One complaint is that it is a flapper valve with a spring keeping it shut. I add 2 stroke oil to my fuel, usually after I'm done filling. Being the valve stays shut, I now feel the need to do a rough calculation as to how much oil to add, and do so before I start fueling. The valve is not a tight fit in the hose, so I supposed the oil would eventually work it's way into the tank if I add more after fueling. So are you running some sort of valve on your flatbed?
  7. They are offered in 1.5 and 2" The Amazon link is for the 1.5, does not say anywhere, had to check the part number. Ordered one this morning, will post how it works. Thanks again to all!!

  9. I checked out the source, they will only sell to a dealer. They shared their 3 dealers within 200 miles of me. None of them had one in stock, and required buying a minimal of 5 units, which none were receptive. So gotta start calling around beyond my local area for a stocking dealer. Not giving up!
  10. This looks like the hot ticket! Thanks for the links
  11. Recently installed a flatbed on my 99 3500. Could not use the original filler tube with the anti spill valve, Now I'm taking a bath every time I fill my truck with fuel. Not sure I can remove the original one without breaking it. No luck finding one on the net or local parts store. Anyone got a source or an option?
