Fuel Gelling with 2-stroke oil
Live in Iowa. As far as I know I am getting winter blend fuel. I fill up at Caseys and BP stations. I'm not using any anti-gel. Last filter change was roughly 8 months ago I believe but I have barely put 5,000 miles on since then.

Fuel Gelling with 2-stroke oil
As topic states, my fuel keeps gelling when temps dip below zero and I am already using super-tech two stroke @ 1oz/gal. What do I need to be checking???

Fuel Pressure/Filter & Transmission Issues
Thanks all for the thoughts and comments. On the fuel pressure, I do have a 1/2" draw straw installed and I removed the in tank filter screen a couple weeks ago. I left all of the plastic housing, just pulled the screen out. I tried to run a water/fuel seperator filter right out of the tank, but with all of my fuel pressure issues I took it off. I don't think it has to do with debris in the pressure valve. Usually when that happens the pressure is really low at idle and will build to full pressure as I get into the throttle. I hadn't looked into modifying the stock fuel canister to allow for the extra flow. I will do some looking around on the forums for some modifications. I did check the transmission fluid, but I just found out a couple days ago I was supposed to do it in nuetral, not park. So I will check it again today. I am going to run to town and pick up a speed sensor just in case and will swap that if my tranny fluid level is good. I hadn't heard of the alternator issue before, so I will double check all of the battery connections and wiring. I think I know of a shop in town that can test the alternator. Thanks again. Will post back once I try a couple things and hopefully get the issues solved.

Fuel Pressure/Filter & Transmission Issues
Couple items I am having trouble with. Have an 01 with 190,000. 50hp injectors and a newish DTT Assassin lift pump. Original VP as far as I know. I do run 2-stroke at 1oz/gallon. Ever since I installed the assassin lift pump I have been having trouble with consistent fuel pressure. For those that don't know the DTT is a mechanical fuel pump that drives off the harmonic balancer, so in theory, as rpms increase so does fuel pressure. I have yet to see this happen. Right now I will idle at 17psi and drop to 10psi when I get into the pedal. I changed out the fuel filter a couple times and when I do the problem goes away for a day or so, then returns. I was curious if anyone else running 2-stroke had seen any issues with pressure drop across their stock filter? I am thinking about trying a Wix filter, but I hate to keep dumping $20 into filters. I have been through 2 or 3 already this summer trying to troubleshoot and only put on about 5,000 miles. 2nd item: The other day I was cruzing down the road about 50mph and the tranny seemed to shift into neutral for a second, then back into OD. I was able to get it to repeat sporadically, but it seemed to be when I was under a very slight acceleration. It also happened this weekend when I was pulling the camper out, but I'm pretty sure it was in 3rd gear. It seems to shift to neutral for a second, then back into gear. Tranny was flushed within last 20,000. Fluid level is ok, but I will check again. I adjusted transmission bands last summer for the first time. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Fuel Boss lift pump?
I just put an Assissin pump on my rig this weekend and had read about a few guys who bought a larger gear so the pump was at a 1:1 ratio instead of the 1:2 ratio (guessing) it is at from the factory. This allowed them to maintain a higher idling pressure while still maintaining a safe WOT throttle pressure around 20psi. I haven't looked into it yet, but after test running mine yesterday at 12psi idle and 20psi WOT I am definately planning to do some more looking.

DTT Assassin Help!!!
Just installed my assassin lift pump and draw straw and I am only getting a slow stream of fuel from the pump.Draw straw was installed by drilling a hole in top of the in-tank fuel module. Drilled two holes in the bottom of the fuel module as stated in the instructions. Ran the draw straw through the top and bottom hole so it would be sitting on the bottom of the tank inside the screened cap and trimmed the straw so it would be as close to the bottom as possible. Ran new hose from draw straw up to the pump, then from the pump back to a T with the regulator. At the T, the t'd hose heads up to the stock fuel filter and the back side of the T returns to the tank where I connected it to the in-tank fuel module.I disconnected my hose at the incoming port on the T and turned the engine over and am not getting any more than a slow stream of fuel coming out. So the only components I have between the outlet and the tank are the pump and the draw straw.Anyone have any ideas???!!!!! Note: Assassin pump is set up with the small gear on the pump and the large gears on the harmonic balancer.

Possible Torque Conveter Replacement
Alright guys, I am new to this forum and did a lot of reading on the TC lock/unlock thread and was hoping my alternater could be causing my TC to have problems. I took some voltage readings and based on what I was reading in the other thead I throught I might have a problem:

Battery Volts AC 0.039 - 0.041FAIL

Based on these I thought my alternater was going bad, but I took the truck to a shop today and he tested it on the truck and said voltage was good and the diodes were good. So on my way home I stopped at the local shop and talked with the owner about my problem and we went for a test drive: - when I pull up to a stop sign the truck wants to keep pushing through it and the motor sounds bogged down. After I stop for a few seconds the rpms jump about 100 revs and I can feel the truck buck and hear something click. After the bucks the motor sounds normal and the truck isn't trying to push so hard. The truck will also die every once and a while when I go from park into drive or reverse. Their opinion of the problem was that my torque converter and or clutches were going out and I would likely need to replace it. Couple questions: - Does their opinion seem to make sense? - If so, can you guys recommend a place to get a TC? - Are rebuilt TCs worth the savings?2001 5.9 24valve - RV275 Injectors - BHAF - Boost, Pyro, EGT GaugesBought it to tow a 1994 28' steel framed camper (its a beast)
