  1. Well I can honestly say I am done traveling for awhile. Im still worn out and sore from the trip.
  2. From Virginia to New Mexico to Colorado and back to New Mexico and Virginia. Luckly it wasn't to rushed time wise. This was the first trip i've made over 100 miles since I purchased the truck in August of last year.
  3. Well the wife and I just got done with a 5k trip pulling roughly 10k in weight. For a 14 year old Ram 3500 with 240,000 miles, I am very pleased. Average of 13 mpg and no issuses with the truck.
  4. Yes sir, there is almost to much info on the web. Im going keep looking and tinkering with it.
  5. Awsome information Michael. I found this http://obdcon.sourceforge.net/2010/06/obd-ii-pids/#more-71 it shows some of the info im looking for but not the Chrysler specific ones
  6. I bought the cheapest set they had back in August when I bought my truck due to budget. When the start going bad I'll replace them with mechanical gauges. I have not had any problems yet and am happy with the quality, for the price I paid.
  7. Main things im looking for are trans temp and timing advance if its available. I check around here again for them
  8. I have been very happy with the app but it doesn't read very much on my truck.
  9. I bought the torque pro app a while back to use on some of the gassers I work on and would like to use it on the Cummins. To get it to work properly and have full functionality I need the Chrysler specific PID`s and there parameters. Does anyone now where I can find them?
  10. I replace the solenoids, ajdusted the bands and change filter and fluid. I redid the stall test and got the rpms up to 1800. I wad a little timid with it before.
  11. TC seems to stalls around 1200, i dont have the wheel chocks but with e brake set and brake pedal mash it feel like its trying to move. RPM`s didn't get over that, also didn't hold the throttle done for more than 5 sec`s or so.
  12. Thank you for the info. I read that the factory stall for these truck are around 2k, does that sound about right?
  13. I've though about that, do you know a good place to buy them and do you know how to test the stall speed of the TC
  14. I am in the process of doing fluid changes, the truck has 234k and i have no idea on previous maintenance. I haven't had the truck long. I have heard not to adust the bands or do it every fluid change. What would y'all recommend?
  15. I'll look into the ecm ground and get back to you. I know it is not the right way to fix it but im still happy at the moment.
  16. Got a good update for y'all. I was doing some more poking around with the truck and did the apps ground mod from suncoast converters and truck is up and running. No flashing wait to start light. I have no clue why it worked but it did.
  17. No shop worth going to within towing distance....i found a website call diesel ecm source anyone heard of them. Here is the link http://dieselecmsource.com/
  18. I got the timpo replacement apps installed. There is no change, im still getting the flashing wait to start light. Next step replace ecm or should i take it to the dealership?
  19. Do you mean the grid heater? I have already check the relays and power to them, they checked out.
  20. Thanks for the info dripley, all other sensors i have checked pass except the apps. So wishful thinking it is just that.
  21. When doing the tests above, with the apps disconnected the wait to start light functioned normal. Is that a good sign or am i just beinghopeful
  22. I did the checks for P0123 at http://articles.mopar1973man.com/2nd-generation-24v-dodge-cummins/26-engine-systems/36-apps-sensor-error-codes it is saying to replace apps sensor. So thats what ill do and I'll let you know what happends. Thank you very munch for all help that was given
  23. Ok with the apps sensor disconnected im getting .522V on the same wire i checked earlier and other that a check engine light (due to the disconnected sensor) everything works as it should. I didn't try to start it.
  24. I have checked the grid heater relays and everything seemed ok. Next issue i checked the voltage at the apps sensor and im seeing 4.76V and it barely changes when i move the throttle. The tag say it should be .513V. Now i now there is no way to adjust it that far. Is there a way to further test the apps?
  25. What scan tool do i need the one i used didnt work to perform the test
