Maybe its not the injectors
Bad connection will do strange things. It threw a code on him. Didn't throw one on me.

Maybe its not the injectors
And yet it seems to have corrected the problem.

Thanks for all the replies. Very informative. But I think my injectors are good. Check my thread" Maybe it isn't the injectors" to see whats going on.

Maybe its not the injectors
Well, heres an update on my injector issue. One of the good things about buying a truck that someone you know was the last owner is that when you text them about your problem they call you and say, " you know, the truck did something weird one time and you might want to check.............." So what I was told to check was the fuel pressure sensor connection. Unplug it and plug it back in. I also blew in it for good measure. And wouldn't you know it, the truck has been starting good the last 6 days. Knock on wood, but it looks like it wasn't injectors after all.

And where do you get them?

So are you thinking these "new" injectors are just remans?

Thanks Mopar tech. If I can't figure out what kind of improvements over Remans the BBis and the marine injectors are I'll probably go with Remans. These marine injectors sound like they might be good, the BBis are kinda high you want to know the truth. I don't know if I can afford em or if I even want to. Shoot me a pm with a price if you want. Do we have a pm function?

That's the second time the marine injectors have been mentioned. Other than the 50 hp gain, why would they be better?

So give me your thoughts. I called Snarty and asked about the BBis and if they had cured the injector failure problems. They wouldn't commit to a yes saying there hadn't been enough used to tell. Said 2 micron filter was the answer. So I took that as a no. So tell me what you think woul be best and why.

Hard cold start
Yup. I was hoping for something else.

Hard cold start
I havnt been able to check the nuts yet, but it seems to be getting worse. It did start normally a couple times, like when I was gonna show my wife, but then it started up again. This morning it started and idled at 500 for maybe 5 seconds then jumped up to 8-900 then started bouncing around 7 to maybe as high as 1100. I ran around to exhaust and yep, smoke. Another thing, something sounds like it's making noise around the injector pump. Sounds like a tapping. So, definitely injectors? Or injector pump? Or both?

Hard cold start
OK. Thanks. I'll check the nuts Tourqe and if that isn't it I'll be able to run it for quite awhile like it is till I can save up for new ones?

Hard cold start
That's what I was afraid of. So I have 2 questions........ How long till it completely craps out or I damage something? How hard is it to change the injectors? And a 3rd question. How do I change them?

Hard cold start
This weak the truck started starting hard when it is cold. Truck sits for 12 hrs between driving. It will stumble at about 500rpm for a couple revolutions then build up to normal idle rpm and runs fine. If I shut it off and restart it starts fine. Ambient temps at startup have been between 69 to into the 80s. Any ideas?
