  1. What would be recommended in running for a 2009 6.7 with 112,000 miles or should I not worry about running any addictives in the diesel I did run 2 cycle oil in my 1999 24 valve but I'm new to the cp3 pump and also the 6.7
  2. Would u recommend guages or a edge insight for guages due to truck has none at all. and I will defiantly due that thank you for the help is there anything else to learn more for beginners on the 6.7
  3. I'm guessing a possibility but want to get tires first and see if that helps being said the other ones are completely done. I am gonna be driving it on the trip, but once I'm back its gonna be my daily driver and it's mainly town driving, would delelting it then be a good time within a couple months or sooner? i had a buddy of mine that is a mechanic on big diesels check it out and he is the one that pointed out tie-rods and track bar other then that he mentioned was in good shape but would need changing in near future I am also considerin putting a steering stabilizer before I leave would that be a smart thing to do or not? The dealership are changing the things mentioned earlier in the front end and also the transmission oil with both filters due to the seal was leaking and also they are changing the transfer case oil due to a bad output shaft seal and replacing it as well. I am having a buddy of mine clean out the egr system that works for a dodge dealership as well as I do want do a coolant flush would a new thermostat be a recommendation also? thanks for the help I appreciate it That's what I'm doing Tuesday is getting new tires due to the others being completely not usable lol ??
  4. Hello I have done what I new be thought to do and got rid of my 1999 5.9 for a 2009 6.7 now with that being said the truck has 110,000 miles and is an automatic 4wd the truck is plain stock has the egr and dpf on it. I plan on leaving for a trip to Colorado next week and will not delete the truck more then likely till I'm back due to already gonna spend a good amount on trip. My question is what is reccomended to do to the truck the mean time. The truck does get a bad bounce at 60mph+ but the tires are balled so I'm guessing it is that the dealership is replacing the tie-rods and track bar. Sorry for the long message but would really appreciate some help on this new truck
  5. Clean car fox and ones I could find on the car fox are all the normal procedures such as oil change, etc... I have my buddy look at the egr and he did mentioned it could use some cleaning
  6. I've came upon a 2009 dodge Cummins with the bluetech and truck has 110,000 miles on it. The truck is all stock still has all the egr and dpf stuff on it, and took a look at the turbo and was a little dirty but not an excessive amount. I did have a buddy of mine that works for dodge here in my local town and he said everything seemed fine on the truck. I am needing some help in making sure I purchase a good truck what would be some things to watch out for thank you.
  7. Okay so I have decided I'm gonna go ahead and give up my 2nd gen for a 2005 4x4 with 127,000 miles with the 48RE. What would be things I need to look into before I pull the trigger on buying it? I did get this image to see if anyone knows what it means sorry about how not visible it is.
  8. I have a 1999 2nd gen with 112,000 miles with 5 speed and 4x4 with some few upgrades. Considering trading with some difference of money for a 2005 auto 4x4 with 126,000 miles and all stock. What would be some good opinions and things to watch out for if I do decide to go the route of changing
  9. Are there certain ones for the 3rd gen conversion So a napa one would be a good way to go just ask for the best one?
  10. What is recommended for the 2nd gen front end upgrades. I had a technician check the front and said that track bar is done and 2 ball joints what is a cost efficient track bar that is out there I don't do much off roading
  11. So as far as my issue would the draw straw help my situation or is something not connect correctly
  12. Is there anything I need to put back as far as removing it or just take it and don't worry about it or the lines
  13. I took a picture this morning sorry for so late post back and so I do have the old lift on side of block and the new wire that u can see is what powers my fass
  14. I will have to go outside really quick to truck but I do remember the line that is the suction from the fass is connected to the similar top of the intake pump
  15. I ran my lines straight to the vp44 i honestly don't know I have tried getting an answer from other people but haven't I've always been worried I did something wrong but the fass and new vp44 have been on for 6 months now Is there any good pictures to see what the pump on block and in tank look like? My fass did not come with a kit to remove it
  16. What do u mean by pulling threw both? I removed the factory line from the top of the tank as the fass directions said to do and connected the new 1/2inch line to the top of tank. And the fass is connected to the wiring provided by it and I disconnected the lines from the fuel filter on the block I have not removed any left pump when I installed fass
  17. I have the intank I believe due to me having to run line to top of tank. would I need a new sensor since I haven't put a snubber on. i have never looked inside the tank Which tube to short?
  18. I already have the fass titanium 150 but when my truck reaches half a tank it starts acting unlike most post are about the 1/4 tank issue mine is the 1/2 tank issue. I have noticed that with a full tank I get 16 psi on my fuel gauge but once it's half a tank it ranges from 15-21 psi which I have been told that u either need a needle valve or a snubber due to not having either or which is that correct? And would the sump kit or suction tube help my 1/2 tank issue thanks
  19. I have done all of them except for the AC current have not heard of that I'm gonna have to defiantly research that thank you
  20. I haven't seen it till today was the first time and like I mentioned earlier only when I stepped on the gas a little bit but driving down the road it doesn't white smoke at all. i have changed the thermostat and changed the fluid the thermostat I installed is the napa 190* and the truck ranges typically from 186-192 on the temperature according to my edge gauge

  22. I've have a 1999 Cummins with 111k and have owned for almost 8 months and temperatures are starting to go down some here in north Texas and I new to owning a diesel I have down all the main things recommended for the 24v. I drive my truck as a daily driver and gave some fun in it and now with the temps dropping I have heard its normal if truck white smokes little to none in the morning when first started for about 1 min and clears up. Truck to seems to run fine and today when setting at Idle I noticed if I normally give it some gas while sitting parked a little smog of black smoke comes out but today it seemed to be white but it's only when I give it some gas while sitting there or should I not be worried about it.
