Five damper questions.
My vibration damper got gunked up from the puke bottle (did the mod) and my steering wheel vibrates at idle and I need to inspect it. Can the damper be removed by removing the 4 bolts that hold it? Or do I have to remove the fan and fan clutch. Do I have to mark it so it goes back like it came off. What should I use to clean it. Is it all one piece or two parts? Tx.

Antifreese Conditioner?
I`m a converted 7.3 Powerstroke Ford guy and one must add a conditioner to the antifreese coolant to stop pitting. Is this also required for the Cummings 5.9 24 valve diesel as well. Tx.

Proper Heat Guage Reading
What is the proper heat reading on the heat guage. Mine says 189 to 190. Is this OK? Thanks. I`m an ole converted Ford guy and that reading would be high.. Tx.

Engine Vibration
Just bought this truck and it is a good truck but I get this vibration from the engine, especially at idle on the steering wheel. That`s the place I notice it most although it vibrates at other places as well but not as much as on the steering wheel., it does not skip, in fact it runs and starts great. Could this be a broken motor mount or something? After I start driving it almost stops the vibration until it`s back to idle again. Harmonic balance maybe? Tx.

Crankcase Vent Mod
Just done the crankcase vent mod w/some mods of my own. I liked the pictures of the mod but I did it a little different than what I saw. The pics. I saw showed the mod without the radiator hose which will rub against the pvc pipe when it is connected. Over time you will get a problem. If you take the 3/4" curved hose that is already on the vent to the canister you will see you can cut it to be a perfect fit to go around the radiator hose by cutting the curved part off. Put a short piece of 1/2" pvc into the hose, CLAMP IT and Attatch the 90% pvc then cut and fit the pvc to meet your needs. At the end , instead of using more pvc AS A DOWN PIPE I simply put a 3 ft. piece of 3/4" heater hose and ran it out the bottom with A ZIP TIE. Simple, works perfect, looks good. Painted it black.

Pull Water Pump
My Haynes Manuel says I need to pull the fan and fan shroud to remove the water pump. My question is, it looks to me like there is enough room to pull it without removing the fan and shroud. What say you? Tx.
