Christmas wish list.. a spare engine needs built
well boys and girls i picked up a new toy last week and have been deciding what to do with it and figured its time to quit avoiding it and just do it and all out build from the ground up. here is what i want it to do but havent made any real attachments to these ideas so this could go any which way. looking to build a street driven monster just a flat out doomsday machine with a need for speed and an appetite for tires, want to push the limits of 650 + ponies, did i mention its a 215 horse engine out of a bus, i want to maintain longevity as much as possible. tell me what you guys have tried as far as part combinations injectors, cams, girdles, springs, gov. springs, pistons, turbos compounds triples???? possible thoughts of the supercharged route to light a larger charger. the sky is the limit all i have is time all thoughts info and criticism is welcome

lets talk tranny swap eaton
Alrighty straight to the Chase I'm sick and tired of my nv I know its going out just don't know when. I've decided on what I want to do but need more info that what i can find. I want to swap in an eaton 8ll as that was the tranny I grew up loving in the old dump truck we used as a grain truck. It's what is familliar and its an eaton. But I'm open to suggestionsMy problem is how in the heck I'm going to mount that big sob. What transfer case to use? What clutch and flywheel? Bellhouseing? Is there a kit somewhere? Then once it is in how to convert my clutch? Get one out of the donor truck and fab it up? What is my cruising speed going to be in 8 at 1800 rpm?I have 353 gearsin it I believeor right about there and my tire is a 285/70/r17Sorry for the scatter brain gotta love ADD :smart:thanks for all info and recomendations the more criticism the better

Another Cracked 53 Question
My grandfather had a 53 block in his when i was about 15 it cracked right around 210,000 he and some army buddies got together and stitched it and it held for about a year (he put 50k on it that year) held good until the first good cold day in dec. (7 degrees) then cracked again even with the heater on so they replaced the block new from cummins block was about 1800 brand new thats what I would personally recomend

Gear Splitters ???
I see i pull a trailer from where I live on about 600 mile trips generally 18 times a year. trailer weighs in at right about 20k or 22k every time. it would come in handy for my 3-4 and then id have a 4+ but the only thing is when im empty I spend a good amount of time off-road for many reasons i just cannot sacrifice my 4x4. Are their any other options for me? maybe a 4x4 unit?? The gear vendors is exactly what i am looking for but i have to have some form of 4x4

Gear Splitters ???
Hey everyone I was wanting some info on the gear splitters? I know it gives you an over gear just like the big boys. my confusion is who makes them? are they available for 4x4 applications? can they stand up to the torque? Are they actually worth the money? thanks in advance for all the info BTW this forum is 10 x's simpler than the others
