Smarty settings
That's the weird thing. I have only gotten on it three times since I put it in and haven't recorded the mileage. I drive by psi and it's hard to keep it low now. I got reading about too much timing in another post so I bumped it down to SW 4 and for the first 50 miles it seems to drive much better. Before the lie o meter was saying about 16.3 which is usually about 1.5 to 2 off. After the switch the first 50 miles at 75, it shows 19.4. I'm not sure if this will stay higher or not but I have high hopes.

SW 5Speed lim stockTorque 2Rail 1WG offI feel after I put these setting on the turbo has been running header and the miles have gotten worse. 12.5 city to 14.5 at 70 mpg with tail wind. Donations
I've been on here for a short time and everyone has really helped me get a handle on my new pickup. I don't mind sacrificing a fast food meal every couple weeks to show my thanks. This site defiantly has a different and better feel than the bigger forums full of people fighting all the time. Thanks a lot.

Thanks a lot. I will let y'all know how it feels with the smarty.

Road Ripper 3000, experience?
It has a tripple disk torque converter. Not too familiar with trany and TC other than I like the TC lockup.

Road Ripper 3000, experience?
I just talked to the previous owner of my pickup and he told me that he had installed a reman Road Ripper 3000 from Certified Transmissions. I started getting off subject in my previous thread so I thought I would start a new one. I ordered the Smarty S06 POD and will be doing a lot of pulling. According to the webiste, the Road Ripper can handle a beating, but I was wondering what are my limitations. I don't plan on hot rodding, but when I buy a Quadzilla Scout down the line, it would be nice to be able to have the quick get up and go for fun. What have you guys seen and what settings should I be keeping her at?

Plugged turbo wategate?
It has a trany from Certified Transmission. I don't know much about it other than that. The previous owner put it in and it only has about 11,000 miles on it. I'm not real sure how they handle the added horsepower, but he had the S06 in it before. Would the second set of settings be better for mpg in town?

Plugged turbo wategate?
First off I am still figuring out everything on my new pickup and this site has been full of information, thanks a lot. The previous owner told me that he had put a bolt in the wastegate and I wouldn't have to worry about getting to high of boost pressures. I have a boost gauge but I am still worried about blowing the turbo up when I get a chip for hauling. I was wondering what you guys think about this little modification.

Auto High Idle?
What is the best way to warm up my pickup. I live at an apt and don't have the ability to plug in. I have the high idle. Is it better to let it warm up by itself or can I engage the high idle manually right away?

New truck and don't know about a previous mod
Thanks, I have a set of gauges on already: pyro, turbo, and tranny temp. What is the main use of the converter lockup? I will be doing a lot of hauling with a horse trailer. Also I'm guessing there is a lift pump already based off everything else he as done. Would a fuel pressure gauge be bennificial if hauling a long ways?

New truck and don't know about a previous mod
Hey y'all. I just bought my first diesel and the previous owner was an aftermarket parts dealer. I only had a short time to talk to him on the phone at the dealer and I am now trying to figure out everything he had added. It previously had a smarty chip but it is out now. What I know so far is in the signature. It is also an auto. There are a few things I don't know the purpose of. First is a foot switch on the floor under the e-brake and when in drive, I can't tell a difference when engaged, but when I stop with it engaged it lunges forward and kills the pickup. Does this sound like anything you guys have added before? Second on the engine, the top is not stock. It has the oil fill sticking straight up. I'm sure I will find more things about the truck after exploring more but these were a few questions. Thanks
