Thanks for the replies. I have been looking at goerend, dtt and sun coast. I have thought about doing the rebuild myself (dtt master rebuild stage 2 kit) I just want to make sure I get the correct parts for my build. So does everyone agree that the triple disc tc is the way to go for dd/ tow rig?

Right on, that's good to hear. I take good care of my truck and I don't drive it like a high school kid. The trans is not doing anything weird yet but I do want to prevent anything from happening. Tranny has never been rebuilt (220k mi) and I recently got the toy hauler and been adding power upgrades so I'm just trying to figure out what to do and what vendors to go through. Anyone know of any good tranny shops near ventura ca?

Ok guys starting to save up for the inevitable tranny rebuild just wondering what all of your recommend. Myi signature is accurate except for the new air dog. I tow a 10k toy hauler and I plan on installing rv275 s and a new turbo soon. So what brand/ build do all of you recommend? Thanks

ok so im assuming that my heater core has finally gone, when i have anything on (vent, heater, ac, etc..) strong smell of anti freeze. when i have the a/c on i get the smell plus puffs of white smoke from the vents. the floor is not wet. just want to make sure it id the heater core before i start pulling the dash apart. also while i hav it apart what else should i replace in there? going to check all the vaccume lines etc.. evaporator? switches? thanks again for the help

hey guys been a while and i need some more help, today i noticed a good amount of tranny fluid under my truck after the morning commute, i de-greased, rinsed and inspected and it looks like its coming from the tranny cooler lines (the "isolater blocks" had moved allowing the hard lines to rub for who knows how long) i am ordering the "DieselManor Generation 2 Cooler Line for 1994-2002 Dodge RAM Cummins" with the port for trans temp guage but i cant find the rest of the lines on the web! any ideas? dont want to go to the dealership." also when i turn on my a/c i get a plesant aroma of anti freeze with the occasional puff of white smoke from the vents. heater core going bad? im assuming if it is the heater core its a royal pain in the a@$ thanks for any and all help guys

thanks guys for the advice, guages on order (egt, fuel press and trans temp). trying to figure out between air dog 100 or the fass (when i do this does the stock lift pump get pulled out?) and yes original stone stock tranny and tc

good to know about the stock lift pump, what would you reccomend to replace it?

hi all, reecenty registered guy been reading a lot to keep the questions to a min. but i know this is a big question so thanks in advance for any advice. i have a 01 dodge 24v 4x4 auto with 210,000 mi all stock except for a new edge ez, BHAF, replaced the vp fuel pump around 100,000mi ago, other than than its just been maintaince. im looking to get better performance when towing my new to me 9000 lbs toy hauler. i know i need guages asap, after that thinking 4" turbo back exhaust, injectors? (50hp? 75hp?), trans upgrades? and finally airdog or fass and what size?again just looking to make a good reliable tow rig that hopefully wont brake the bank. im pretty mechinical and would like to do as much as i can on my own. thanks a lot joel:thumbup2:
