I've been playing with Thor to see if I could fix the AirDog 150 to get closer to 15 PSI. I found a spring at my local hardware store, and it was way thicker, but after a bit of trimming work, I got the fuel pressure to settle at 22 to 25 PSI. Yeah, I know it's high, but I wanted to be sure the CP3 is loading fully and getting good, solid rail pressure. I'm struggling to understand the grid heater light, and it typically trips on deceleration. I'm doing more testing to figure out my issues. Toda
Yeah, I just got done doing brakes on Beast. Both rear brake calipers had rusted pistons that were so jammed that I couldn't seat them. @Tweety Bird was telling me just get it repaired, we need the trucks to function properly. I most likely got a little tear in the rubber boots, and the road salt finally ate the calipers up before the pads were even worn out on the passenger side. The driver's side rear pads were nearly gone due to the rusted pistons. In my position, without a shop, it makes it
Today I was out in the yard running the little skid steer, loading bricks and concrete. Just getting things sorted out of the dirt is taking the most time. I just found the couch, which is pretty flat and crushed. Finding items from Marks' living room, I found the new but beaten network hub, which was less than half a year old. At about noon, it got pretty hot here, so we abandoned the front yard and came in. Still I've gotta give a huge amount of love for the Dischinger Family that continues to
Yeah, with all the stress of dealing with the mess in the yard, then the mess of everyone crammed under one roof. It gets to everyone here, so sometimes you just gotta get dressed up and grab a truck and go wander out in the woods looking for camping spots and even take Mollie, our fur baby, with us. @Tweety Bird found me a light ash blue wig and even picked up the lipstain as well. @Tweety Bird She is such an awesome fiancée, she is always trying to add to my Titanium makeup and clothing. We lo
With Beast leaking oil out front and rear main seals, needing tires, and closing in on 500k miles. Beast needs work to keep him going. Mark suggested to try looking into Thor. Luckily my fuel pressure test gauge made it and was intact and undamaged. I checked the fuel pressure key on, engine off, barely 7 to 8 PSI of fuel pressure. Now start the engine, the fuel pressure drops to 2-3 PSI with WOT stab of the throttle. Ugh! Now I pulled the check ball and spring and did my typical spring mod bend
During our digging around the shop, we found my old Atari 800 computer stuff. Sadly, the computer is most likely destroyed. How does this mean anything? My computer adventure began at a very young age, around 14. My parents bought me an Atari 800 computer. This computer was the starting adventure of communications, even before the Internet was out. I bought myself a 2,400 baud modem and a few other bits and pieces for the Atari 800, but I created my very own BBS. BBS stands for Bulletin Board Sy
Hey Gang, I just spent some time going back to YouTube and doing some tweaking to my account. Now my Mopar1973Man.Com videos are still there, and I'm going to start building videos in the near future for articles. I'm going to still have to do repairs with what I have so this is going to get interesting working in the yard, doing repairs on Beast and Thor both in the wilderness of Idaho. Currently, the last few days here have been right about 95℉ to 108℉. Yeah, I'm going to be doing brakes on th
@Tweety Bird and myself were not feeling well last night, so we slept long and hard. I got up this morning and she was requesting I head to town and get hamburger buns, and we would have something simple to eat for today. As usual, my local people know me and always love the makeup and the effect it brings to people. A couple of the female store employees have colored their hair green and purple. I always give people compliments about their appearance, and I always get right back as well. As f
I'm back at it again. I'm looking to make this website a hotrod as well. Still having issues with the Total Blocking Time of JavaScripts. I'm playing with the Google Pagespeed Module now on the server to help clean up the wasted bandwidth on unneeded things. It's all about being able to trim off the unused code and compress the required code, and get it sent to your desktop, tablet, or phone quickly. Part of this might take some time as the pagespeed module learns and creates methods of saving b
Yes, I'm off to McCall, ID, to meet with my insurance agent and review the actual insurance policy, word for word. Just to give me a boost today, I went a bit more like Clown Goth. I've a few other stops today, including picking up medications and doing some other shopping. I've got several fans in McCall who enjoy my makeup work and love the reactions of people. Oh, check out the gallery photos. I've got a new shirt. Gotta keep building my character up. I'm hunting for a second shirt, but still
Hey there gang, I'm still here working at the website. I know there are people there that just don't understand why I've changed in appearance and my nature of being. Sadly, the whole aspect of my life was permanently altered when I had my last run of cancer. You have to realize I'm no longer able to work as a mechanic and do Cummins diesel work at a commercial level. I have an ostomy bag hanging on the front of my belly that is a constant reminder of the cancer I fought through alone. I deal w
@Tweety Bird And I had to get out of here and get some downtime. Extremely stressful to get up every day, looking out the living room window at an entire mess of my shop buried under tons of mud and dirt. It was wonderful to just go out north of McCall, ID for about 4 days. We didn't do anything but rest. Now we have returned home and are going to start making moves to clean up the main house with all the unpacking from moving to my place. Lots to do. Then still need to handle the mess in my dri
Both @Tweety Bird and I gotta have a break from all this. I had to deal with rusted slide pins on the calipers front and rear axle. We managed to find enough of my tools to at least do a simple repair. Suzanna has been busy packing the RV so we can go take a break camping locally. I'm kind of amazed. Got the front brakes done with slide pins. Both side you had to beat the pins out of the boots. The last time I did brakes at 350k miles till now with 497k miles and rolling. Finished this project
I spent a good part of the day trying to recover from a loss of search engine ranking. Yeah, I have been super busy dealing with insurance agents and people coming and going. Now things are settling down, I jumped back into the website more so. On to the website stuff. My biggest hit was a problem called Content Layout Shift, or CLS for short. We had most of the mobile phone pages were as high as 0.44, which is a huge fail. Now to see this for me I have to logoff and view from a guest level.
First, let me say that for any of you who own your homes, please review your insurance policies. I just found out that the majority of homeowners are not covered for landslides, mudslides, earth movement (earthquakes), etc. Like me, it's a completely lost. The insurance policy doesn't cover this at all, not one dime. For all those religious people who walked up and said they would pray for me. They packed up and left the scene quickly and gave ZERO help at all. Even my neighbor who is part of th
Mopar1973Man.Com Shop was leveled by a landslide. Yeah, with a heavy heart, I lost my entire shop and guest house to a landslide. I won't discuss how this all happened yet. The biggest thing I lost was the entire building. My Best Friend, Mark Hall, was living in my guest house. He was one of the few who helped me out with my cancer. He was protected by a guardian angel. I just saw where his bed landed and what pinned Mark in the house. Mark's Dog Hachi made it too, and no injuries. We managed t
Got up today and hopped out after Thor to finish up the front seats. The driver's side repaired seat looks patched and actually appears correct in the roll of the foam. Being I've got 3 days plus of clear warm weather coming we need to get @Tweety Bird moved out of Nampa ID, promptly. The Big Tex trailer is all hitched up and tested, all tail light functions are present and even for short trip down the driveway and back up the side yard I had good brakes on the trailer and you can feel it tug ba
I was coming back from Lewiston, ID, a few days ago. I looked down at my fuel gauge in Riggins, ID and just above 3/4 of a tank. Within about 2 miles, it popped the elbow quick connect off the return line and started pumping fuel on the highway. I notice the fuel gauge rapidly dropping shut the key down. The AirDog pump stopped and pulled over, found the quick connect fitting blew off, and dumped $100 of fuel on the highway in under 2 miles. I'm in the process of hunting down the old steel JIC c
Hey there gang, I'm looking for people who truly want to get involved with the website. I'm adding functions like the Gallery so people can place there truck photos up and show them off to the rest of the world. The Event Calendar is going to be set up for the idea that we might plan travel trip to places and share our location so people can meet up with me. I also want to bring the Zoom meetings together too. I'm going to be building articles on Thor here shortly we are going to have more infor
Today I bounced outside, and it was warm and sunny. I wanted to get busy trying to make Thor cleaner and comfortable. Yeah, grab the power washer and nearly a gallon of degreaser and give Thor a good washing down on the engine so I can hunt oil leaks and other things. Don't need a greasy engine. I sprayed down the door jams and hinges so I can lube them back up and get the creaky door hinges to stop. The driver seat was pretty bad I peeled the seat bases out of both sides. Not really hard, just
@Tweety Bird And I have been busy rewriting the terms of use and policies for the website. This is all new website software, and more features now than in the past. We felt that it was time to review the dated policies and realize we need to totally rebuild everything. Here, shortly, there will be a full database of policies for everything on the website for the usage policy. This is being built in a database so that when other issues develop, we can append to the current policies easily. This w
I had to run up and get some new meds my kidney doctor wants me to try and hopefully help my kidneys heal. I opted for full white face and blacked out my neck. OMG I had fun walking around the store and all the great comments. Surprise ive got video proof! https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTjyjHXcA/
@Tweety Bird and I loaded up into Thor. I've got a medical visit here in Nampa to see about saving my right kidney. Thor is going be helping us relocate tweety bird to my nest. Yup, she is moving out and in with me. As for the trip down Thor ran great. Very smooth ride and good power till you build a little bit too much boost... P0234 code. Funny. Pull over erase the error code and continued down the road. Now comparing the previous MPG to now. 4 MPG gain. Still remember I've got blow by issues
