overdrive and tcc solenoid 47re removal without valve body drop?

Installing a new deep oil pan and filter decided to replace all the solenoid and the 3/4 spring. I want to install the new overdrive and tcc solenoid without removing the  valve body. Can this be done if I just remove the zip ties and reuse the original harness? Or am I missing something?

    I've replaced the solenoids without removing the valve body. Unplug the electrical connector at the left side of the transmission and clean the area around it Remove the oil pan and filter.

I've replaced the solenoids without removing the valve body.

Unplug the electrical connector at the left side of the transmission and clean the area around it

Remove the oil pan and filter.

Remove the governor solenoid and transducer.

Remove the 3 screws holing the overdrive/TCC solenoids.

Now watch this video on removing the 3-4 accumulator housing; the top of the accumulator is where the wire connector is   attached.  The screw that attaches it is different than the others, don't mix them up.

The O-rings on the connector should be lubed so it will slid into the case and not be damaged.

Install the 3-4 accumulator per the video.

Now install the new OD/TCC solenoids then the governor and transducer and plugin them into the wire harness.. 

install new filter then pan with gasket.

The torque on the T-25 screws is 30 IN-LB and pan bolt is 10 FT-LB.

 

If you can let the truck sit over night so fluid can drain down before taking the pan off.  You'll get more fluid out that way.

    I've replaced the OD solenoids without dropping the vb but not like Cascade video shows. If you have a small, 90 degree torx bit drive you can lower the vb just enough to get your hand on top and remove the one screw. Then I've also found its just as easy to remove the entire vb and do it that way. I've found the easiest way to remove the vb without much hassle is to have the rear axle on jacks so you can turn the rear driveshaft a little bit to disengage the parking lever with one hand and hold up the vb from dropping with the other. It's easier to do then to explain. Good luck.

    Thanks guys I ended up going the way @IBMobilesuggested and it worked out great. Only odd part was I had 2 spring inside the 3/4 housing a small and big spring I replaced the big spring with the sonnex unit that I bought just in case the old one was weak and left the small spring inside the trans. Everything went smoothly trans seems happy still.
