Today I received code P0172 on my 2017 Chevy Malibu. It states

" The Emissions System is not performing as expected. An issue has been detected in the Exhaust Emissions System which monitors and controls exhaust gases released into the air from the engine. If the vehicle is continually driven with this light on, the emission controls might not work as well, the vehicle fuel economy might not be as good, the engine might not run as smoothly and could lead to future repairs. "

Has anyone in the community here had this code, is it common in a car with almost 17,000km?10.0.0.0.1 192.168.1.254 hotmail.com

P0172 Fuel System Rich Bank 1.   O2 sensor is most likely seeing a lean condition and the PCM has richened the mixture as far as it can and is out of set  parameters.

With the vehicle less than 5 years old and under 50,000 miles the factory emissions warranty should cover the repair.  Go on line and find out what the emissions warranty is on the vehicle.
