Hey folks,
I'll be going thru some of the various wiring problems im having with my '00 2500 cummins here this weekend, and I want to get a head start on diagnosis / get my mind right on it.
First problem, I've got the p0113 code and replaced my iat sensor which unfortunately did not solve the problem. on my scan tool, the temperature reads -40 degrees. I have NO KNOWN symtoms, even though I do have the code. This points to it being a problem in the wiring and not with the actual temps. There's an aftermarket (afe) air intake on the truck that the previous owner installed
Second problem, my engine coolant temp sensor is not reading, pinged at zero. I have not replaced the ECT sensor, I am considering doing that prior to attempting to diagnose further.
Thirdly, My fuel level sensor is also pinged at zero - regardless of actual fuel level.
When I do the gauge check on the dash - all gauges read and check out. When I attempt to clear the p0113 code on the dash, it comes back again immediately. I plan on tackling these problems in the order that I layed them out here. Anyone ran into these issues before? Any advice before I dive in face first?
Also, there is a cluster of wiring on the inner fender well drivers side were the mud flap would be if i had one. Does anyone know what these wires are. or have a diagram for them? What is this joint connector?
Thank you
JT
