I’ve had this bumper sitting in my backyard for a few months. Decided to finally put it on. Got the brackets off eBay for $30. Nice powder coated 1/4” thick. Picked up some 1/2” carriage bolts and locking nuts from the local hardware store. Also grabbed a sports grill off eBay for $100. $22 for the emblem and a can of satin black paint. Had to drill 4 wholes in the lower part of the grill frame. Added some spacers from a tv wall mount kit. For the gap between the mount and grill.

Yours looks a lot better than mine. I guess its all in the brackets. I got mine like this, so no idea about it. I can't adjust it any better than it is with the holes it has that I can tell.

You need to get a sports grill for it. This is what mine looked like before I put the sports grill on it. This is the regular grill. Everything is black but if you zoom in you can see the gap

The sports grill I got was about 1 3/4 “ taller from top to bottom. and was thicker.

Yeah, that'd make a difference. Your gap under the headlights is better than mine too though. Nice looking truck. Looks like another nice one next to it.

I was thinking of just picking up a stock bumper from the junkyard, liking them well enough. Any particular reason other than preference to go to the Gen4?

That’s my bro-in-laws 2002 next to mine. I put some Bilstien 4600 shocks in it after he helped me with my bumper. That truck was the reason I got mine.

I had seen multiple trucks online with the 4th gen bumper. I liked how they looked. Having this one given to me I figured I’d try it. My original bumper was a little tweaked back when I bought it. I had to put self tappers in the plastics to hold them on.
