Gang, I got to looking up latter and traction bars and came across these: http://www.tuffcountry.com/miscellaneous/traction-bars.html I was wondering is anyone is running a set and if they do anything?? I like the idea of them not hanging down below the frame and they are pretty cheap. I don't plan to race/pull on a daily basis, I just want to help with the hop when I play around every now and then. Also might help when pulling trailer? Any feedback would be great!! Thanks, Winslow

That pic is for 3rd gens the second gens still mount under the frame. I have had a set of the early style ladder bars from them and they are about the best investment I have ever made. Tuff country in my opinion is the best bang for the buck as far as traction/ladder bars goes. I have been thinking about a set of those but don't think they would be as effective as the bottom mount ones so have held off on them for now.

Oh I guess I was thinking these mounted on the top.... well heck.... but for the price I might try them.

They do mount on top on the 3rd gens like the pic shows but the second gen style is still an under frame/axle setup.

I gotcha. Well I was hoping they mounted on top, but I guess on the bottom wouldn't be too bad. You think these would be worth it for me?
