Posted June 16, 201213 yr How do I correctly identify which transmission is in my truck? I am not sure if it is a 47re or a 48re. The truck is the one in my signature. Production date= 1-03. codes in glove box = DGA and DG8.
June 17, 201213 yr I believe that is a 48re. I had to look up my brothers one time and those codes sound familer.

June 20, 201213 yr not 100% sure..but when in neutral..in my 47re anyway..it charges the converter...when i start mine in the mornin..especially in the winter time..i let it idle/run in neutral to let the fluid circulate.
