Just changed rear drums, pads and parking brakes. Got it all back together and it seemed to work ok in the driveway. Went down the road and the rears are stuck on. Took them apart and checked and tried again and still the same. Are my calipers messed up? The second time I took them apart I put a block in and hit the brakes to see if the pistons would come out. one did but the second one on both sides took a HARD push on the pedal to make them go. Did i mess up something pushing them in?

Pistons need cleaning. You need to that them apart and clean the piston till it fits the bore without seals. Then the piston should naturally fall to the bottom without being push.

When reassembling the calliper I would lube all the piston with a little brake fluid and press them into the calliper with a larger jaw channel locks or C clamp. Hose and bottle? Huh? I just assemble them to the truck and bleed them as normal.

The hose and bottle is the tube over the bleeder leading into a bottle of fluid. Crack open the bleeder valve and pump the brake. It's for a one man operation. I have no help here to bleed. I dont have any speed bleeders. Any other one man way to quickly bleed the brake?
