Anybody here familiar with these motors? We have one in our Claas silage chopper. I want to put a pyrometer on it and I'm wondering where the best location is and what the parameters are for the max temps. If nobody knows can you direct me to a source for the info?

Loks like you just might get to be a pioneer!! I can't find anything relating to a pyro install on your engine. I am guessing it should be real similar to putting one on any other diesel. I would put it pre turbo and put the probe off center in case there is a web in the middle of the manifold. I would use the same temps as you would on your truck.
