Not sure what trans is in it but when idling it sounds fine but when you put it in drive it bogs down and dies.

Sounds like the torque convertor is toast. If the truck is in an area where you have a little room to spare, put it in neutral and slap it in drive/reverse with no foot on the brake. May have to give it just a little rpm to keep the engine running long enough to get rolling. If it takes off and drives fine afterwards I'd say it's time for a torque convertor and a fluid flush at a minimum and probably a valvebody in the trans.

I see that you had the trans fluid changed. Did the correct fluid get put back in? If not, could be causing you some issues there too.
