The bottom hole is only for air bleed it too small for cooling. Even Bosch states 70% of the fuel should be return for proper cooling and there is no way you can get proper cooling in that tiny hole.

Mopar1973Man's post in Intermitten P1689 was marked as the answerFuel pump relay is in the PDC which controls power the the VP44 injection pump. Yes a bad relay will set a P1689 code if the relay is bad or no power given to the VP44.

Make sure you get an 03 to 06 loom for the taillights. Funny part is 07 is single bulb taillight and 06 is a two bulb taillight with separate brake and turn bulbs. Already calling for 05 loom might be good swap at my salvage yard to do a swap.
