  1. So i believe i have figured out the no start issue. After swapping the dash I’ve had an issue with it starting and shutting off. i came to believe it has some type of anti theft issue going on. After receiving my computer back from @autocomputerspecialists who are great by the way!! I installed them and had the same issue as you can read above. i did a little Googling on the VVST on these trucks. I tried to reprogram the remote with no luck. As stated before i did an entire dash swap. Meaning frame and all from another truck. i got to reading about the CTM box. Well for giggles i pulled mine from my busted up dash and guess what? it started and is running fine for now!! So if y’all do an entire dash swap be sure to swap the CTM box that is located under the dash on the right side of the accelerator pedal. It’s a black box with two plugs. It’ll save you a lot of heart ache and time.
  2. Sounds like it’s a good time for a aftermarket lift pump.
  3. Ok so i have the ECM and PCM back and just installed them. Truck started and ran fine for 10 seconds then shut off. Started again and ran for 10 seconds and shut off. Now the truck won’t start at all. I’m at a complete loss. Any help on where to go from here would be great!! Also just checked codes and these are the ones it pulled up. 380 Glow plug circuit Malfunction 382 Glow Plug circuit malfunction 1689 1698 113 IAT sensor circuit high input 118 colony temp circuit high input 122 TPS sensor a circuit low input 237 turbo boost sensor a circuit low input
  4. I’ve got the PCM and ECM boxed up ready to ship out to them. I’ll make a note for them to do what they can for the security.
  5. I did this test and the truck will start. A thought i had was about the anti theft system. If this complete dash is out of a different truck could that be a problem? I did contact @Auto Computer Specialist and I’m gonna send them my ECM and PCM to have them checked out.
  6. That’s who i had repair the computer last November. It had a burnt APP circuit and Lift Pump Circuit.
  7. I’ve been chasing issues with my VP for several months now. The truck would crank and run fine until it came up to operating temperature then would break up and most of the time shut off. so i but the bullet and ordered another VP from DAP. installed this VP along with new batteries and a fuel pressure gauge. I get the pump bleed and fired up. Runs good so while in the shop i was gonna swap out the dash. Got the new dash in and fired the truck up, after 5 seconds it shut off. Fired it up again and the same thing. Ran for 5 seconds and shut off. Third time it would not refire. So i contacted DAP and they said send it in and they would take a look at it. Sure enough the PSG had gone bad. So they sent me a new VP and get it installed last nigh. Go to bleed the pump and could not get it to fire. I do now have a 1689 code. Is it possible that the last pump took out the computer? I did have the computer rebuilt last year. Im at a loss here and I’m pretty frustrated with this girl. On a side note DAP was easy to deal with warranting the pump.
  8. I swapped out the dash on my truck with the help of a friend. Now i have this single plug left with no ideal where it goes. To top it off now my truck will not start. Can anyone help with pictures of the plug location. This plug has an Orange wire with a White tracer along with a Brown wire with a black tracer.
  9. Thank you. I do have a fuel pressure gauge and it reads 16 psi. I’m gonna try to bleed the system again. I guess it is possible for another air bubble to sneak up.
  10. Yes sir this is the plug coming from the column harness. It’s all plugged in up top but this is under the dash. Didn’t know if this plug could cause that. I don’t see where it would plug in under the dash. It started twice and shut down. Then wouldn’t start the third time but will turn over.
  11. So i just replaced the complete dash on my 2001 3500. I also replaced the VP and ran the truck before i pulled the dash. At first the truck ran rot a few seconds then shut of. On the third start up it would not start at all now. I do have a plug that i can not find the plug for. Below are pictures from the interweb and one of mine. Anyone have an ideal of where it goes. i had a friend helping me so i don’t know where he unplugged it!!!!
  12. Why the SO pump? I have seen where they use that one instead of the HO.
  13. It’s time to replace the VP44 on my 01 HO 6 speed. I’ve been doing a lot of research on different pumps and suppliers. I’m taking the advice of Mopar Man and have decided to go with a DAP remanded pump. my question is are the “Hot Rod” pumps worth the extra coin? I will be upgrading my injections to 7x.010’s from DAP at the same time. I do not have any tuners on the truck.
  14. I have done the W-T mod but have not bench tested the alternator for AC noise. I’ll check it next. Would i need to check a new alternator for AC noise?
  15. I have an 01 3500 HO i just replaced about every sensor n the truck along with the grounding mods and alternator mods. The truck is breaking up bad through the whole RPM range. it does puff white and black smoke from the exhaust. I just resolved an issue with my AirDog loosing ground and cutting out. i have the following codes. P0230 P0254 P0370 P1690 What route should i go next?
  16. So everytime i think I’ve got this thing figured out this crap happens. Truck is cutting off randomly. It will fire back up after it sits for 5-10 minutes and it might cut off again or might run fine. I just had the ECM rebuilt 150 miles ago but the cutting off was part of the issue. They told me the APPS circuit and the Lift Pump circuit was fried. Now i have all these trouble codes. Tell me what your thoughts are? Truck is an 01 HO 3500 6 Speed with an AirDog165. No tuners on it. P0327 turbo boat sensor circuit low P0122 Low APPS Circuit voltage input to low P0118 Engine Coolant Temp circuit high input P0113 Intake Air Temp Sensor 1 circuit high input P1690 Fuel Injection Pump CKP sensor does not agree with ECM CKP sensor P1689 No Communication between ECM and Injection Pump P1698 P0380 Glowplug/heater plug crk A malfunction P0382 Glowplug/ Heater crk b malfunction
