yes I did and there were none Thank you since I do not hear the lift pump when key is turned on is that telling me something? always heard it humm prior to this episode a relay maybe or would that throw a code? truck cranks just fine

my truck did the same thing at 30mph no warning nothing towed it home about a month ago not throwing any codes but I don't hear the pump kick on with key am I mistaken or would that not cause a code it is a 98.5 24 v ? any suggestions as to where to look firstly?Thanks I will be following trying to learn lol

I am looking to replace my stock fuel filter on my 98 dodge it developed a leak around the heater pigtail harness grommet and I am getting not much help from local dealer one mechanic told me to drill it out and plug it not sure if that's wise any guidance would be appreciated am leaning more towards aftermarket I am thinking suggestions please

while I am not certain I think I must have a leak somewhere in fuel system after my 98 truck sets for some time it will start right up like its supposed to then after 10 or so seconds will die then I must crank it 6 or so times to get it to start then it seems to be fine can any one elaborate on this symptom or problem Thank You

my 98 Ram 2500 24 v started ran for stated time then died not to start again 2nd time it has done this this winter both after some pretty extreme cold spells last time -8 wondering if its not water freezing in fuel line suggestions please last time I took out ASD relay cleaned charged batteries and she fired right up covered in snow at present so IO guess its a better day project at this point

as soon as I can get hood open I will check to be sure am getting power to pump if so then I can probably assume pump is bad does that sound like the proper procedure at this point? - - - Updated - - - the diesel smell after exiting truck I would presume is either at lift pump or somewhere between lift pump and injector pump wouldn't you think ?

yes all lights functioning normal now plus no CEL I'm thinking I have a leak somewhere and lost prime or pump just died reason I think I may have a leak was the diesel smell when exiting truck ? think I may be on the right track?

is it possible a fuse is blown to the pump plus if I smelled diesel a week or so prior to problem is it possible to have lost prime and caused it to blow the fuse I am just asking these things until I can get hood opened and check pump its covered with snow now gonna warm up Sunday and Monday though

I'm back scanned truck and now I do not have CEL light so no codes but truck still doesn't start turns over great just no fire I can't hear lift pump as I did prior to problem so I am going to assume that may be a problem but then wouldn't that turn on the CEL sorry I am fishing a bit here as soon as snow is off vehicle I plan to test pump for power any other suggestions greatly appreciated
