  1. Injectors are newer 50hp idk how new but ive always kept good filters and changed them regularly as well as use hot shots diesel extreme every few thousand miles as well as sometimes motuls diesel purge. Ill hook the scanner up when i get home and see but according to the das my idle is right around 800 i know thats really not accurate but ill see in a couple hours. Also i came up with this theory about that other tuner i have theres only 2 wires supplying the map sensors so the wires should go to the pin that is the map signal and the jumper wire would be the supply voltage. Im just trying to get it wired so i can sell it. I bought the first adrenaline i sent you its the v2 with iquad i got it for 425$ it was sent to quad for a test and passed all the tests and came back with a new harness and i quad. I know @Mopar1973Man said it was too old, i belive you were looking at the second one i sent for 300 the first one i sent was 500$ and had iquad and was the newer model
  2. The first one i sent you has the iquad and is a v2 was sent out to quadzilla and passed all the tests it has a new harness and iquad
  3. Oh i know it doesnt have any adjustability im trying to figure out how to wire the map sensors to it the harness has 2 wires coming out of the lead that is for the map sensors and im confused as to how i wire 2 wires into two 3 wire plugs. I know one wire will be a jumper between the two plugs but im confused on where the two wires from the harness will go to each map plug male and female the last pic is of quads adaptor and it looks like theirs either 3 or 4 wires going to the two map plugs. I checked from the start of the harness and its deffinetly only 2 wires supplying the map sensors that were once their. I wish i could find someone that has this same tuner and be able to see a picture of there harness with the plugs wired to it thats all i need and i can get this wired back up so i can use it for a little bit and put it up for sale and then put that towards an adrenaline So i just found this picture its an xzillarator harness but for a ford and the map sensor plugs just have one wire in, a jumper to the other plug and one wire out so it shouldnt be too different on the cummins i just have to figure out what pins do what @Mopar1973Man should i buy this
  4. Talked with my friend he put the supplied key in it. Figured he did , hes they type of guy that does stuff right. So if its not the key and i watch engine load and it changes while cruising on flat ground at a steady speed what should i look for then? And if it doesnt change then what lol?
  5. Yea i wouldnt think that either but straight from power driven diesels mouths and considering this guys truck was 1 tooth off and running just fine idk. But ill ask my buddy tomorrow if he used the new key im sure he did. Now what would be the difference in a new key and old key arnt they just a regular key for a keyway? Or do they have some degree to them like an advance key for some old motorcycles ive seen
  6. Oh and a friend of mine who had the truck before me installed the pump im sure he installed it with the key that is in it. But i talked with power driven diesel when i was on a different form on facebook this guy had a cam gear one tooth off and people were saying spin the engine over again it will line up. Which obviously you know will never line up cus they are same sized gears any who people were bashing me saying there a hunting gear and will eventually line up i asked pdd and they said same sized gears which i knew but the guys truck was running fine and they asked if it was running fine and i said it was and they said that the vp could compensate for that. Dont know if thats true or not so in that sense i wouldnt think if the key was wrong it would be an issue considering if a cam gear was off 1 tooth and there saying the vp could compensate but who am i. And i never did check the a/c noise as well illl have to do that. I did it to a tee though soldering everything all nice and stuff
  7. Its an older one fuel tap does 30hp 70hp and 120hp the instructions are for the xzillarator standard(the one i have) and the xzt but it is an older discontinued one. Any who with watching engine load at a steady speed what do you think ill see? And there wasnt much things i could watch on the scanner compared to my silverado. Not as much **** in these engines to watch im guessing but i belive engine load was one thing i could watch
  8. I have a obd link MX+ its a bluetooth scanner (100$) and i belive it reads engine load it does live data in graph form and stuff i used it to watch my o2 sensors on my old 4.3 silverado that was acting up would throw a blinking check engine light when on the highway moderatly accelerating in 3rd or 4th gear long pulls never did figure it out weirdest thing was throwing random missfire codes i think it was a sticking valve from what i had read but thats neither here nor there sold that for the cummins but ill have to get the scanner from my pops. And i wanted to atleast get the tuner wired so i could put it up for sale as well
  9. I have an xzillarator model DXZ01s that has had the map sensors cut off and im trying to figure out how to wire the new plugs i ordered for it. The harness has 2 wires coming out of it and im trying to find out how to wire the male and female map sensor plug. I bought an ls tps extension plug and it has the male and female plugs that i need wired to each other so ill cut that in half and have three wires coming out of each plug i know one wire is a jumper but i need to figure out which one will be the jumper and then what to do with the rest of the 4 wires
  10. Well i figured out that a gm oil pressure plug extension has what i need, both plug ends same style plugs but here's my dilemma now the xzillarator harness i have had the plugs cut off. Well im trying to figure out how to wire the new plugs on the harness only has 2 wires coming out of the loom for the 2 plugs
  11. All good ended up figuring it out was a little confusing on some things but everythings all nice and soldered. Truck still seems to be hunting timing on the highway, i have my edge unplugged its quieter with it unplugged. Guna try to sell the edge on market place and put it towards the adrenaline. I have a quadzilla xzillaraider model DXZ01s and im trying to find a male and female pig taile for the map sensor as someone cut them off the harness any idea where i can find these plugs the male ones are easy to fine but thr female i cant seem to find. There a metri pack 150.2 i belive
  12. Yea im guna get a plate, also im in the middle of doing the w-t wire mod as we speak not fully understanding, so the big wire on the back bottom of the alternator that now goes to the positive terminal on the passanger side right? And the other wire that necks down to like 4 wires that gets cut at the 4 wires and grounded to the timing cover right? And that it right? I see i use the wire that i cut off of the 4 wire that go into it and use that to ground the batttery to the case aswell but what do i do with the wire that comes out of the fuse pannel and goes to the alternator i know it gets cut and connected to passanger side posative terminal but what about the fuse and **** thats in the fuse pannel
  13. Ahh i see, so how do people do a wire tap without the cover? And ill probabily get the cover then instead of messing around with it
  14. Oh i know bd sells them just looks wicked simple for me to just drill and tap a hole in the same location on my stock cover and throw a sharpened set screw in. Is that all the screw does is poke a hole in the wire?
  15. It seemed to clean up fine i sprayed starting fluid in the connection(all i had, no contact cleaner) and i took a pick and scratched the pins a little it didnt look horrible to begin with just deffinetly had signs of corrosion from the green dielectric shmoo. And deffinetly guna do the w-t mod when i get a chance, woulda tackled it today but its been pouring all day, i skimped through the link and it doesnt seem to difficult i think i could gdt it done in less than a couple hours. Is there any real world problems on manual trucks that you guys have hear this mod fixing? Also wire tap tuners, have you heard of anyone taking their stock vp cover and drilling and tapping a hole for a long sharpened set screw for the wire puncture like how bd diesel sells a cover and blue chip?
  16. Update running the truck as we speak with tuner disconnected the plug on the edge that accepts the map sensor plug from the truck had a bunch of green shmoo in it like the die electric grease turned green from corrosion. The truck seems to still be doing it but it is so much more faint like the knocking sound is so much quieter than before but still there and will cycle like it did before but way less noticeable. If the w-t mod doesnt help what should i look for. Also idk if this matters but I've always ran about 3oz per gallon of tcw-3 2 stroke oil in it. Doesnt that lower the cetane?
  17. My alternator is brand new the truck still did the timing hunting thing even with the old alternator. I have a feeling its the edge causing this issue as some one had the exact same issue with their edge ez and get it replaced and it fixed it. Im guna unplug the edge and see what happens. And when i get time im guna do the w-t mod. Would a 200 degree t stat be a good thing to do even though i dont have an adrenaline? And are there ways to get different tunes at home for the xzt and download them off a laptop
  18. I was just doing some searching on the web and saw that people were downloading tunes onto the xzt? And some people got tunes from you apparently? Is there a way id be able to do that with the xzt with my laptop at home?
  19. Jesus christ your a damn smart man and i already bought it im guna sell my edge ez and use the zillarator till i can save up some money for the adrenaline. How come i would have to have it programmed everytime conditions change? Obviously that would be for the optimal tune but it cant be worse than the edge right? The edge doesnt do any changing so in theory id have to have that programed for an optimal tune to right? Belive me theres nothing i want more than an adrenaline but for 200 bucks i said screw it ill try it and see if i can atleast get the timing hunting to stop. Would there be issues if i just ran it as is or will it just be like any other canned tuner and be just ok like my edge
  20. Yea i found one of the write ups and it has alot of good info. Is there any evidence of it actually doing something for a manual? Ive just always heard it fixing tranny hunting problems on autos. Also i just found a quadzilla xzillaraidor for 200 bucks that im guna buy. Its the 120hp one not the 65hp one apparently. The serial number on it is DXZ01s. From what ive read there pretty decent. Also if i get an adrenaline one day will the wiring harness from this work with it? I was on the quadzilla website browsing and saw you can buy just the box itself no wiring and it even said on the page to specify at checkout if you have the older 4 button controller. The controller look the same so was hoping for the ease of manufacturing they kept **** the same
  21. Awesome i hope one day ill be all hooked up with a set of your tunes but until then i just found this out on a different form. Some guy had an edge ez like mine and described the same exact problem i have with the timing changing every 15 -20 seconds. Well he called edge and sent his back and in return he ended up getting 2 of the wrong edge boxes from them. One was labeled LBZ on the inside for a duramax lol. Anywho got it sorted out and got a new one and problem was fixed. I wonder if ill be able to send edge my box even though i didnt buy it. I think its time for something new though would be nice if they would honor their **** and trade me out one
  22. I noticed on power driven diesels website that they sell the quadzilla and had a few different options one being the android&apple one and the other has a little controller with it. 1000$ for android and apple one and ability to buy their tunes. Are the tunes that come with the one with the controller any good that one was 699$ or is it best to get the one thats customizable. And who has the best tunes out there, do you mopar1973man make tunes for peoples trucks and their specific mods?
  23. Ive heard of this mod before, what is the actual fix/ way of doing it? I should probabily just look it up i know you guys have so much info on here. I appreciate the help though im deffinetly guna do that and ill see what happens. Also will probabily try disconnecting my tuner and see what happens. I like the added power though lol as we all do. Its deffinetly time for an upgrade though. Whats you guys recommendation for a tuner that wont break the bank, belive me id love a quadzilla adrenaline but just cant swing it right now.
  24. Thanks guys i appreciate the info and i see you mentioned intake air, my grid heater doesnt work, would that have any affect on this or do those only come on when starting the truck? Also ive noticed it will still do it even if im accelerating and its litterally like clock work ive counted how long the knock comes and goes and its always around the same amount of time roughly 20 seconds of knocking and 5 seconds of smooth sound. And thats at a steady 80mph no hills or change in pedal pressure trying to do like the most accurate baseline test of it. And it seems to really only do it around 80mph. Now is this bad for the engine or is it just kind of doing its thing? Again like i said before the truck runs amazing just thought this was like a weird quirk. And as far as tuner upgrade ive been dieing to get a quadzilla just dont have the money for it right now. Are there any other good tuner options that are cheaper that you guys would recommend?
