  1. thanks to everyone ...really surprised to see so much info on the subject ...thinkin this might b a nice little mod to do to the truck ..dont think i need the 93s though the 84 should b more than enough apperently its mostly sound ....should sound great when the stacks are installed.. thanks again
  2. just wanted to check an see if anyone has done this or heard of this ........putting larger diameter fuel tubes from the injection pump to the injectors.....somewhere in the neighborhood of .093 diameter...supposedly makes the truck have a loping sound .....does anyone know of any drawbacks/downfalls
  3. Mine will do this when I make a turn faster than about 25 mph ...I first thought it was the batteries being loose but it still does it after the new battery hold downs where installed and I run shell rottella in the. The truck with a mopar oil filter
  4. thank you thank you yes thats it :hyper: now i can do this ...i will try to post better pics when i do it wed. thanks again
  5. terry thanks for the web link looks like something i may have to try in the near future. At one time i was a member of the cummins turbo diesel registry forum and i posted a thread about brake failure over there and several ppl replied with a modification to the regular parking / emergency brake ..where you unbolt the pedal assembly from the fire wall then do something with the big circular spring and add a bolt somewhere then weld another piece and reinstall ..this supposedly made the holding power on the pedal and cable stronger due to the fact that these brakes have a tendency to "pop" off ......problem is i dont remember what all needed to b don for the modification and i can no longer read the entire thread due to the fact I am no longer a member there....cant see paying the money for the web site evry year when i get better service here .....thanks again maybe someone will see these posts and have a connection to the other site or have more info ...but i believe in the end (after christmass) when i have more cash ....i will have to do the micro lock ....thank you very much

  9. Help ......ok heres whats going on need to fix my parking brake and fast have a vehicle safety inspection comeing up on next thursday ......gotta have a working parking brake .....i remember reading somewhere ..sometime that the stock parking brake was very weak at best on these trucks ....there was a way to make them stronger had something to do with turning the big spring in an opposite direction and welding a bolt in somewhere ..or something like that .....any one have any info on this? .....also any one have any helpful hints on installing a new raptor lift pump i just got mine in the mail today with the new 1/2 inch lines with quick connect fittings....thanks in advance folks.

  14. I have been able to find the duplicolor rattle cans at walmart autozone advanced auto and oreilys auto parts.....i believe that you can order cans straight from dupli color too ....russ what do you need done to your doors ? i might b able to help there too ...i recently forgot to set my wheel chock down when i was filling up at the local fuel station and the truck rolled backward ..only thing that stopped the truck was the door against the fuel pump near the top of the door folding it back toward the front of the vehicle .....lots of body dollie and hammer work along with some bending with a crescent wrench
  15. john not sure if the pictures will show it real well or not but that scratch is actually a hole clear thru the dually fender ...i repaired it with duraglass ...i believe the old school hot rodders did it to their rods with lead ....you can prolly do it with duraglass and quit a bit of sanding .....i sanded with four inch round da sanding paper from about 400 to 800 grit basically the same process for both the big fender crack and the lower rocker panel knock the rust off and back fill with duraglass filler then glass over it ....the big crack needed some extra help from fire dept friends to hold the crack pressed in place till the glass set up then sand and primed with a lighter color green ...went to anyplace that had duplicolor paint matched the exact paint color bought 2 rattle cans of color and 3 of clear ...also bought 5 of underbody coating for the black along the bottom ...dont forget to mask off everything you dont want undercoating on several sandings between coates of paint with incredibly fine paper and several coates of clear
  16. i think this is all the pictures
