  1. Thanks joecool911 I'll look into those. I got the Isspro set from Vulcan performance.
  2. Hey guys, finally got enough funds to install a Boost, Pyro, and the much needed Fuel Pressure Guages! I looked in to having them installed but it's going to run me around $300.00! So I thought I'd save my self some $ and try to find a step by step installion for them. Does anybody know where I can get my instructions preferably with pics? Thanks to all who chime in!!!!
  3. Ok thanks mopar for the info! And thanks to everyone else that chimmed in
  4. MoparMan, let's see if I'm understanding this correctly. So for MPG's I want to keep it below 600*F but not to let it get up to 1,220*F due to the pistons melting right? Tsmithnw, thanks for the link!
  5. Yea. Speaking of EGT's this is going to be an obviouse tell of me being new to the Diesel world but what are EGT's? lol see told you I was new lol.
  6. Yea I usually keep it around 60mph. But good to know I can run her at 75 mph if I want to and not hurt anything!
  7. Thanks guys for your thoughts in this! Crazy to know you can run these things against the governor all day long at 3000 RPM's and not hurt anything but then again it is a Cummins!!
  8. Hey Socal, take a look at the Diesel Stop channel on youtube he's got some great videos of multiple builds including a 1000 HP build!!
  9. Hey guys, I am just curious what's a safe RPM rage to drive these trucks on the freeway? I have a 4:10 ratio which I really want to change to 3:55 which brings me to another question anybody know where to get a good set of 3:55 gears? Regarding the RPM's I don't let it get passed 2 RPM's which with my ratio is 60 to 65 mph. So since I 'm new to the Diesel world what would be a safe operating RPM rage for these trucks? Just want to know what everyone thinks.
  10. AGPTurbo, I bought my Fleet Guard BHAF off of Amazon for $45.00!!
  11. Ok first off thanks to everyone for there opinion's in this question of mine. I would think that the Edge gauges would not be as accurate as mechanical since the mechanical gauges are hard wired in directly into the source to get there readings where as the Edge product is just all electronic which we all know there can be numerous issues there. Guess I'll continue my gauge hunt then. I did notice that Abennin said he has had his Edge JWA for 7 years with out any issues which helps reassure me that if I do get an Edge product they seem to be pretty reliable! I think once I get the funds I'll get the Edge Comp good price on that one.
  12. So I've been looking at the Edge products, and have noticed that depending on which one you decide to get some come with built in gauges as an added bonus. So my question is are these gauges reliable enough to just use them or should you just go on ahead and get the actual gauges? If they are reliable my view is if I decided to get a Edge product with gauges then why spend the $300.00 + dollars to get actual gauges! Just my thoughts. Opinions welcomed, and appreciated in advance.
  13. stodg73, there the black faced 7 series for that price. Mopartechnician, good info thanks for your 2 cents! Guess it just proves you pay for what you get. So maybe it's just me but iv'e noticed that the fuel pressure guage is much higher than the rest anybody know why? Most iv'e seen are $100.00 + on up.
  14. Ok so I am able to get a set of Glow shift gauges EGT, Fuel Pressure, Boost, and three pillar pod for about $220.00. Which seems like a good price when compared to other sets. So my question is what's everybody's opinion on this particular brand? Are they good, and reliable or should I just not waste my money on them? Anybody out there with these particular gauges your experience would be greatly appreciated!
  15. Lol ok will do Dripley! I'll check that site out as well. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Dripley, do the gauges come with instructions? I can't find a video on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Dieselforlife, I didn't realize those pumps had a lifetime warranty I'll have to check into that. Almost makes it with the extra couple hundred dollars. As far as that extra filter between the tank and the pump goes there pretty cheap. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Ok thanks for the filter part#. Yea thanks to everybody's advice and experience on this forum I've been planning on mounting it to the frame with a filter between the tank and the pump along with the "Big line kit" from the filter canister to the vp44. Well looks like I still might go with the Raptor 100 it does come with a 4 year warranty so if nothing else I'll be good for at least the four years! So just out of curiosity why would you change to a mechanical pump? Also I have still yet to buy a fuel pressure gauge. I know I know driving blind right now lol. So regarding the gauge I've never installed one is it difficult? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Likeoldfords, I like the design of the FASS it seams very similar to AirDogs. However it's a little more than I wanted to spend which is also another reason I was interested in the Raptor 100. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Mopartechnican, so let me get this straight they've redesigned the AirDog's/Raptors since there screw up to fix there problem? If so there back in the running! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Likeoldfords, what's your opinion on the FASS DDRP? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I'll have to look into the fuel sump on to the tank for I'm not familiar with that at all. I'll also have to look into that FASS 95 haven't really checked them out either. Thanks likeoldfords!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Ok so sounds like running it Homesteads way is going to be to risky. So since AirDog's, and Raptor's are questionable right now due to the new ownership what other pump would you reccommend? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
