  1. I do have a Crutchfield Catalog. If the deck is dead that's where I'll order my next one from.I did business with them once before and they were very helpful.
  2. I thank all you guys out there for your help.I will double check the wiring as noted. After that I probably will just run another hot wire if I need to.Thanks again.
  3. Your correct. It seems to me that there may be short because there is no power. I'm going to try tracing out the power source and use a meter again before I look for another unit.
  4. So what your saying is the unit might be trashed?Oh Joy! I guess it's time to look for another one. Thanks
  5. Has Anyone ever had their radio short out?I know there has to be a short somewhere. One day as I was listening to the radio I parked and shut off the truck to do some errands. When I started the truck up again I didn't notice that the radio didn't go back on until I was almost back at home. After a few weeks of not having anything to listen to, I noticed after I started the truck up to go somewhere the radio went back on!I search all my fuses and even changed them out and look for any shorts. I even removed the bezel front from the dash and couldn't find a thing.Right now I am dead in the water.Does anyone have any thoughts of anything I may have over looked?ThanksSteve
  6. I just seen this thread....I need to check mine too. One morning I got in my truck and started off as usual and heard a very low rumble on take -off then clearing out at about 12-1500 rpms.It does that each time now. The weather is starting to cool off in the mornings now, so I need to check it out.
  7. I think that would be a good idea. I have not done that yet.I guess for the cracks I would be looking for any discoloration from the manifold right? Could I check the wastegate by putting a little air to the turbo hose inlet? Thanks for your feed back.Steve
  8. oh yeah, i just changed the fuel filter too!
  9. Michael,The fuel pressure is great!I need to finish building this vacuum tester to check her out for any leaks.I can duplicate the noise if I stay at a low speed with a higher gear and accelerate a bit. The is exhaust noise only there for a second or two.Steve
  10. I started my truck up as normal yesterday morning. When I drove off I noticed a brief hesitation and loudness in my exhaust. Just for a brief second or two!I tighten down all of bolts to my new intercooler boots and a couple of them needed to get snugged up.I scanned for codes but found none. I have a little leak coming from my canister but that was there before this happened.Where else can I look?Any help would be appreciated.Thanks,Steve2000 6spd. stock 270k
